Does the current EECH 1.15.2 patched game run in Windows 8.1

My motherboard is pooched so I need to get a new machine. I can only get a machine that has win8.1 and was wondering if 1.15.2 will run on it
- I know those voices in my head are not real, but man they have some good ideas.
- I never killed anyone, but I have read a large number of obituaries with great satisfaction.

I've run it on Windows 10, so it should work on any version. I can't run EECH in Windows10, after installing the GoG version I get an error message telling me I'm missing directplay which won't install

So I re-downloaded the installer and extracted it to a dedicated folder, ran the installer and it's all good. Many Thanks.

It should probably be added to the install instructions for Windows 10, I'll try and remember to do it. Can you do me a favour and ping me in a week if I've not updated the instructions?

Actually, that happens alot with zipped files. Hit the set-up exe from within the zip and you think yeah, it´s working. But then you get problems. I always extract to, then install these days.
