After all of the above the RealTek hardware was now visible but still no workee.
Used, the normally useless, Windows driver search online and it found something, installed it, and now I am cooking with gas. Now I will compare which sounds better (RealTek or Nvidia) and stick with that for now.
The sound card really crowded my GTX 970 in my tower and, based on fan speed, I think it was running warmer then normal. And, TBH, I was never really happy with the sound quality. Maybe something on my end though.
Using the manufacturers disc's would be the ultimate last resort as all drivers, MB and bios included, have been updated over time.
