I didn't know WOFF supported SLI card configuration (Crossfire, etc). I thought the game had to specifically support an SLI mode. I could be incorrect in that though. Common misconception, and the reason I've always been somewhat dumbfounded that there are often forum discussions about whether games have "SLI support". A game doesn't need to 'support' for SLI in order for it to benefit from the technology. In fact, at least two of the SLI modes (last I looked into it) are specifically designed for games that don't have 'built-in' SLI support. I honestly gave up trying to tell people - even though it is documented, right on the Nvidia website ( http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/sli/faq#c9). The exact benefit that you get varies, of course, on several factors. And not all games have pre-defined SLI profiles...but the ability to process frames across multiple GPUs only really requires that the video driver (and hardware) support it - not the target application. Can't say about Crossfire, as I've not studied or used it.

Can't say about Crossfire, as I've not studied or used it. and since he specifically asked about AMD cards, so far he's got two "I don't know" answers. Anyone who does know about AMD Crossfire for WOFF that can help dutch out with some solid info?

When I used AMD Crossfire years ago, it HURT OFF3 and I had to disable one of the cards for OFF3 to play correctly and have the best FPS in the game.
I have since moved on to single NVidia cards and those Crossfire problems do not exist now with WOFF with the single card. Since WOFF and OFF3 use the same CFS3.exe, I suspect the same problems still exist using dual cards with WOFF, but try it and see since cards and drivers have advanced since then.

Up until about five months ago I was running a pair of EVGA GTX 460 SC cards in SLI mode with great success in WOFF. I traded them in favor of a single EVGA GTX 970 SSC, and now that the price of these have dropped even more in recent weeks I am tempted to get a second and go with the SLI set-up again.

. dutch, back when I added the second EVGA GTX 460 SC card I noticed a substantial improvement in the sim's performance. However, when WOFF 2 came along I was doing some serious tweaking to get things smoothed back out. I decided back in January to bite the bullet and upgrade not only my OS, from XP Pro 64 to Windows 10, but also my graphics card. Things were then smooth again, until WOFF 3. Once more I had to go in and do some serious tweaking to get my performance back to where I wanted it. So now that the price has dropped on the EVGA GTX 970 SSC I am wondering, again, if an SLI configuration might just be worth it. While two cards in SLI doesn't double performance it does bump it by at good 50%, sometimes more depending on the system and situation. Anyway, just something I am considering. By the way, here are my current system specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core, OC’d to 4.2GHz CPU Fan: Arctic Super Cooler Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16gb (4 x 4gb) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Mobo: ASUS Sabertooth P67 Hard Drives: 2 Western Digital 640 GB Caviar Black SATA Opti Drive: LG 22X DVD+/RW Dual Layer SATA Rewrite Video Card: EVGA GTX 970 SSC 4gb card PS: Corsair HX 850 Watt OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit LG 27" flat screen LCD monitor, 1920 x 1080 native resolution Four large case fans, plus the PS, CPU, mobo, and card fans Saitek AV8R joystick Saitek Pro Flight rudder pedals Track IR4 camera with latest IR5 software The only things on the C Drive are Windows 10, TrackIR, and FRAPS, with the only thing on the D Drive being WOFF. Everything else is parked in a 1 terabyte external HD. .

I could go for an GTX1060-3gb , You could, except the only version available of all the new GTX 10XX series seems to be the "Out of Stock" Edition. In all seriousness though, if you can get one I'm sure you'd be quite pleased with it. Hopefully they fill up the supply channel soon.
