My wife and I were wondering what the hell was going on with our drive home from work yesterday (June 28th). Police were everywhere and going in every direction ...

Today we found out that a house exploded, and I mean EXPLODED! Miraculously only one death (I think an occupant). A number of neighboring houses actually have to be leveled now.

Disturbing letters article: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/mississauga-house-explosion-letters-1.3657958

With the reports of natural gas fumes, I'm thinking that house must've been REALLY full of natural gas ... possibly on purpose.

The investigation continues.

Here's a house explosion in NJ which was caught on camera last year.

I think that happens every year, natural gas is a dangerous thing if not monitored closely.

So is, 'life'..... wink

https://todayinottawashistory.wordpress.com/2015/10/10/the-slater-street-explosion/

That afternoon hundreds of Cubs and Boy Scouts, me included, would have been in the Odeon theater.

Heard the explosion ~3.5 miles away.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

I not only heard, but FELT a house gas explosion from 7.5 miles away around 2007 or so.

Then around 2012 there was a major residential gas leak happening a few houses away from where I was on a job. I told the boss we needed to leave. Now.

At first he gave me a bit of the "oh shut up you wussy" attitude, until I told him I was leaving with him in the truck, or walking 12 miles home RIGHT NOW, and I started walking. He decided I must have been serious for a reason and elected to leave with me.

There did not end up being an explosion at that house. But I dug up the above mentioned story online and showed it to him, along with a few others.

A residential gas leak can absolutely become a bomb. You don't want to stick around one.

Ya, its pretty nuts! Weve been living in the Toronto area for decades and cant even recall a house explosion let alone one of that magnitude!

Some hours ago they found a second body in the debris. They know its a man so they think it might be the man that was living in the house. They still dont know if the first body was the woman because they still havent been able to identify the body!

-In April 2015, one man was killed after the house he was occupying in east-end Toronto exploded. The blast was captured on a dashboard camera, which showed images of insulation and other debris raining down on the surrounding area. Investigators said gas likely played a role in the blast.

I can't help it if you suffer from memory loss.

Yup used Google because I remembered there was another explosion recently in Fogtown.

Ok fellas; you both need to step back from poking each other in the eye. And Linebacker, just for the record, you started it on the personal jabs.

Six or seven years ago, in Boston, a house in the Mayor's neighborhood exploded similarly.

What kind of car is that? What does it matter? When I drive it, I'm Steve McQueen
