I heard Netflix Canada kinda sucks compared to the US. I dont mind it though ... I watch it quite a bit! The kicker here is that July is looking like a great month for getting some good stuff before the US. Stuff like Star Wars: The Force Awakens (July 15th) and Guardians of the Galaxy. Not my cup of tea but hey, thats what Netflix is for ... watching crap you dont normally watch and then realizing it's pretty good. I AM actually looking forward to another show well be getting before the US ... ARCHER - SEASON 7 ... WOOOOOOO! (did I use enough O's there?)

I'm very disappointed that Netflix is losing all of the Star Trek movies and the series "Star Trek Next Generation" which I was just considering watching through again.

I don't subscribe to those, just streaming.

Same here. I use Netflix for old shows like Star Trek, but it's becoming clear it may be cheaper just to buy everything and stream it from my PC considering how they're losing quality programming left and right. They're very inconsistent and I only watch a few shows.

Netflix decided many years ago that they weren't going to be a competitor with your local cable company (as they were when they started streaming) and they'd rather compete with HBO and Showtime. So, fewer and fewer licensed titles while original programming increases--in other words, the same thing you'd get if you subscribe to HBO and use their streaming service.
This is a deliberate strategy.

*sigh*
At least Amazon Prime still has Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood and other shows my kids love.

I have not jumped on the streaming bandwagon yet as far as tv shows and films go. For stuff I really like I just buy it on bluray/dvd and for stuff that I just want to watch once or twice I also get the physical media because 90% of the time when I'm watching a tv show or film it's in my home. The picture quality with streaming is still not there for me.
