I'm a computer idiot. Something I don't understand is this; while in workshop, my 'bit' options are 16 and 32.

Here are my specs:
Processor - AMD A4-6300 APU with Radeon HD Graphics, 3.69 GHz
RAM - 8.00 GB (6.22GB usable)
System type - 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. Windows 10

Should I have the option to select 64 bit? Is that ever even an option? Just wondering.

Hi Hayle55,

The bit setting is for the graphics display. Nothing to do with your O/S. Everything to do with how WOFF looks on your display. Not sure what Radeon graphics card you have, but most likely you want 32 bit selected with DX9 enhanced shaders selected, and probably 1920x1080 resolution.

... re-reading your post it looks like you may be using the integrated graphics on the motherboard. You really should consider installing a more powerful add-in graphics card to fully enjoy WOFF in all its visual glory!

I think those graphics are on the CPU. But again, an add-in PCIe graphics card will be better. The AMD APU's are only for low-end gaming really. Not that I have tried one...

My Gigabyte Motherboard has low-end AMD graphics on board which are ignored in favour of an add-on card.

Folks on here seem to be evenly split between AMD and Nvidia. Either way, a minimum of 2GB graphics memory. I just picked up an EVGA / Nvidia GTX 950 for around $150 for a new machine I'm building. Hoping it will do the trick nicely, but there more expensive cards out there if money is no object smile

...and yes, welcome to WOFF!

First of all welcome Hayle
Secondly can you post your motherboard and Psu specs then we can have more of a look regarding GPU?

cheers

I think a CPU upgrade would be a better choice, check what CPU does have the highest Ghz for your mobo and do not select for the amount of cores.
About an Vcard, I would go for an cheap Mid range GTX750 or maybe better one from AMD, like the New RX460 because I did read that if people do have stutters it is mostly on the nVidia cards.
A high end vcard brings nothing here because your CPU is not a great performer when it becomes to run Woff.If you get a future proof upgrade then the GTX960 or better the new AMD RX480 will come in to town.

Running a 1920x1080 or lesser resolution monitor the Vram could be 2Gb, a 4Gb or 8Gb Vram would be no use.

Be aware once getting an extra Vcard, could also be another PSU.

open your case and write down the brand and type numbers you will see. The Same to the PSU.
After that check the suppliers site for more info about specific upgrade on the CPU.

I know there are specific software like sysinfo or just google something like free hardware identifier, that can do the job.
