Which old file types cannot be used with 1.29?

1. As a result of adding more files to the "runways.dat" file in 1.28c the old small "runways.dat" file cannot be used.
2. As a result of the switch to 1024x768 in 1.28D then any 640x480 screens and MNU files cannot be used.
3. As a result of Will Gee's work in 1.28F and the use of "eaw32.tm" and "Geawttd2.dat" files the previous "eaw.tm" and "EAW_TTD".DAT files cannot be used.

140

4. As a result of splitting them the 30 aircraft files "planes.dat", "loadout.dat, "pnames.str", and "fsmplane.wsp" cannot be used
5. As a result of the switch to the "slot-free" system the previous "pp38h" ... "pV1V1" 3DZ skin files, and "VCG_p38h.DAT" .... "VCG_V1V1.DAT" and the "P001view.cpt" ... "P291view.cpt" cockpit files cannot be used.
Neither can the "p38h.FLT" ..... "V1V1.FLT".

150

5. The two digit numbered "ord.3dz" files such as "ord02.3dz" cannot be used ad we have switched to 3 digit numbered one such as "ord002.3dz".

wink

They said they wanted documentation.

Everyone should work to keep this thread on subject and not digress to what you wish from the code. The subject should stay on track with "how do I make xx work with xyz version of the game engine".

Best of luck Jelly.

Another changed file:

1.28c: The old VCG_****.DAT files were expanded to allow for a total of 75 gauges rather than the original 59.
