I bailed on Dirt3 when I was no longer able to play thanks to GFWL.
I told myself to try again once the steam integration was done, which took forever, When it was finally done, I downloaded the re-release, just never got around to trying it.
I wonder if I can force a VoRPX Profile for it.

Happy to help, I get my Steam stuff from the same place and never an issue with them.
Be warned though: Compared to what I see in your Dirt3 screenshots you will curse a lot about the tight and narrow roads in DR. If you want a more casual experience that's not initially frustrating, and more mixed disciplines, then Dirt3 is just fine to stick with. Especially if you only have a Controller and not a wheel.
DR excels at recreating very accurate twelve stages from six countries, but that means some of those roads are pure evil (as in real life). Negative camber, rocks, trees... you will get stuck. You will roll the car, and you will have parts fall off (damage can't be disabled in DR). OTOH it has even nicer visuals, a great selection of cars from 1960 to current times, and just pure rally. Also Pikes Peak Hillclimb and Rallycross but that's more of a "filler" even if very fun.

Yeah Dirt3 is a blast, especially if you use the mod that unlocks all the cars to be used on any track, my favorite is using the wild higher HP Rallycross cars on Monte Carlo, here was a vid I took back when I was playing it alot using the FordRS200:
Nowadays Dirt:Rally is where I get my rally fun, they really took the best parts of Dirt3 (gfx and sense of speed) and turned up the notch on sim and realism, which is really great, but Dirt3 is still good for a fun blast.
I used them three times, first time no dramas, second time and third time the payment was rejected..no idea why, had money in the account. After going through all of the support hoops with screenshots, failure codes etc i never got my money back. Thing that sh/tted me off was that despite cd keys being unable to supply the key and an immediate payment rejection they still took my money, instantly. It was only 17 dollars total so no biggie but spending over an hour and a half in two different support chats with no answer why they could take my money and then reject the payment and then expect me to have to wait a month for a refund, which has never happened..they can get fooked I gave up on emailing them back and forth and just wrote it down as another place to never deal with.
RS yes the roads are pretty narrow, I do have a wheel albeit an xbox 360 and do dabble in the more serious racing sims. However, I suck lol. And that was partially my point, Dirt3 is fun, only need a controller and you can have a blast. Though trackir makes it even funner
Kludger, I need to get my hands on that mod for sure. Nice ride at Monte Carlo, bloody narrow roads!
Thanks for the warning AJ, buggers

I liked those desert shots! How does Dirt 3 work? Is it all tracks? Large tracks? Is there a free roam, off roading map like in the Motocross type games?

Hello Coot There is no free roam and yes you are on tracks, some short some longer, depending on the discipline, Rally, Rallycross, etc. Singleplayer has time trials and single races where you can choose from the five locations, each offering so many racing tracks
Here's a few pics from a Rallycross race
