Beautiful video, Lou. As always. And you always strike a good balance between 'in-cockpit' and 'outside' shots which give an in-depth look at the fight in its entirety. "The Blue Danube Waltz" was an inspired choice for music. Its tempo matched the planes perfectly.

But...a question? What program do you use to edit you films? I ask because the music track seems to override the engine/machine gun sounds. I don't miss the engine sounds (at least, not too much) but I'd really like to know when you're pulling the trigger.

Lastly, it's nice to watch your handling of the plane on the ground. It's something that's rarely seen. Your parking the plane in front of the hangar was smooth. (especially since you can barely see around the engine.)

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

It looks like the previous screenshot thread has been surpassed, so I guess I'll get with the program!

First, I regret to report the death of Heinrich Harz. Since the N11s have come on the scene, I have tried to be very careful of getting involved with them at anything but very favorable odds. Even still, fighting deeply defensive for a good fifteen minutes, I managed to shake my most recent pursuer. I should have declared a victory and went home to change "meine lederhosen". But I didn't and chasing the fleeing Nieuport too close to the lines, I took a single round from an infantry unit and followed my French comrade into the dirt.

RIP Heinrich. I'll be out of German names before I get to the Albatros the way I'm going.

A few shots from the Heinrich's brief career.

Aaron has managed to fare a little better in the Laf Esc. Still, he has probably spent almost as much time recovering from his scraps with two seaters as he has fighting.

The last is from the long glide home after a meeting with an Aviatik.

Charlie has been getting knocked about but is still surviving in 1918. The end of the war is a long way off, but here's hoping.

And been seeing a lot of this...

And just a couple of the lovely, but apparently fragile, N28.

Deacon211, I would suggest your next German pilot in the Centenary DID enlist in a Roland unit. The Fokkers just aren't any good. I think my German pilot is only still around because it's February 1916, if it were later I'm sure he would be dead by now.

Manfred, my wingman in the Centenary DID, finally gets a kill. Of course, the claim was denied. sigh

I may try it just to take a break from the EIII. I was having tremendous success in the crate until the N11 came on the scene. Try it in QC. You can't turn, climb, or run. Unfortunately I caught an unlucky one with Augustus and, rather than getting the EIV with the rest of the squadron, I had to start a new character in the EIII. Then again. Then again. So now, I'm back there behind the flight like bait and whole flights of EA latch onto me.

Still, while potentially embarrassing, fighting the unter (vice the uber) fighter really adds a dimension to the game that you don't usually get in most sims. If other sims are going to throw you into a challenged aircraft, they usually tone down the opposition in order to give you a fair fight (understanding that games in general give you a lot more action than most pilots ever actually saw).

In WOFF though, if you are going to fly a baby seal you can expect to get clubbed a lot. Really adds a lot of circumspection to poking your nose into that furball, which is kind of cool. Arguably, sometimes the AI acts a little wonky. I'm reluctant to come to the aid of a flight that is clearly heading home, since I can easily see me winding up 1v6 with my erstwhile rescuees blithely heading home like nothing is happening.

But overall it's interesting, though not necessarily fun, to know that you are the little fish in the pond once in awhile. I just may need to go through the alphabet a few times before Armistice Day rolls around! angel

The Airco DH.4 is unlike any other 2-seater in the game. It is so fast I believe the only German plane that can catch it in level flight is the Fokker D.VII

This often lets you dictate the fight and poke the Germans in the nose to then simply run away and do it again tomorrow. Its an entirely different 2-seater experience than any other in WOFF...you feel less like the "hunted" and more on even terms with the fighters. But even then, I very often find myself in this predicament:

Who would have thought that the fastest, least vulnerable 2-seater in the game would provide the best fights! lightsabers

Can't wait for the Breguet 14! smile

He'll like it - he is mostly flying for the same side! biggrin

Your hits show, that you really only tried to hit the German hangars and planes - that's okay in a war.

Wait - don't they have Albatros scouts in Jasta 5?
Man, how could anyone bomb these amazing works of beauty? Brute! Monster! Swine! pitchafit

Hi guys!

Olham, yes I was trying for the German planes and hangers, but we fell a little short.

And I agree, the Albatros is one of my favorite planes of WWI. Those beautiful lines and the sound of that beautiful deep throated Mercedes engine! yep

Carrick, Yeah, once the D7's show up, the gig is up! hahaha
