Ok Sandbagging

Now that you have achieved perfection on those models, when will you start on the full scale repro? biggrin

That is some really fine work! May I ask how many hours of effort to complete it a D over how many days!

Beautifully done. Amazing detail.

Always surprised at the fondness of the Germans to spoil a beautifully streamlined aeroplane by having half the engine exposed. dizzy

Love it! Great job both on the interior and exteriors. Wingnut Wings kits are so good and challenging...

Honestly, I can't think of a way to improve that masterpiece.

Wingnut produces absolutely fantastic model kits, but you need to be really good to do them justice. In Sandbagger's case, that's not a problem! smile

Hi all,
Many thanks for your comments - appreciated.

Hi Robert,
The time it takes depends on the particular model and what after market add-ons I want to use. Although I'm past normal retirement age, I still do work during the week, so I only really have some evenings and weekends to model.
This particular model probably too around 20 to 25 days in total. A single seater probably a bit less but not by much, as it's the devil in the detail that takes the time. I'd say getting the interior and engine to the point where I can close up the fuselage takes the most time with rigging being a close runner up.
I hate to think how long it will take me to do the Gotha and Felixstowe models !!!!

Gorgeous piece of work, Sandbagger. What is this pump's function, seeing as it's in the gunner's area?

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

It's a hand operated air pump, used to pressurise the fuel tank, which is fitted under the pilot's seat. The front cockpit also has a hand pump.

Beautiful model Sandbagger, really beautiful. You should post a link in SimHQ's RC and Scale Modelling forum:

I bet a lot of people who don't frequent the WOFF forum would love to see this.

That is, without a doubt, the most detailed model I have ever seen. The details are simply mind-boggling! Fantastic work Sandbagger!
