Alicatt,
thanks for posting more goodness smile

You managed to squeeze in a Buccaneer (of the Royal Navy no less), albiet split across two photos ... biggrin

Looks like we also have a Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar (French Airforce?), an Andover and a P-80 Shooting Star (and of course the Reds displaying in their Gnats).

Great stuff ... keep it coming thumbsup

Alas I think that is all the aircraft, there are some of the QE2 at John Brown's ship yard when she was launched, I'll put them in a new thread once I have uploaded them.

One more pic from about 1970, a young Alicatt in the ATC smile

Very smart thumbsup Now we'll recognise you if we bump in to you in the street ... biggrin

You're much braver than me! I would be far too embarassed to post any pictures of me from my mid-teens - spotty and my hair was way too long ... hahaha

At the evening parade I stepped forward, and requested permission to grow my hair long from the CO, I was in a school play and needed long hair for it, permission was granted and for the next few months the warrant officer kept threatening to cut it for me biggrin

Bumping this up if I may Flat Eric, wondering if you went to Brunters today?

I'm not a camera type person, and only managed three rather poor and very short videos with my mobile. I'm happy to post em once I work out how.

Hi achermav, afraid I didn't get to Brunty on Sunday frown

I went to the American Airshow at Duxford on Saturday - given that it was a Bank Holiday weekend, the kid's half term holiday and that I'm scheduled to go to Old Warden next Sunday to see the Sea Vixen (:D), I thought it would be 'pushing it' if I went to Brunty on Sunday as well.

How was it? Please post your photos / videos if you get a chance thumbsup

Cheers

Missed a treat mate. Had a couple of smashing Buccaneers, which I've never seen under their own power before. A Canberra, a couple of Hunters and a flypast by the BBMF MK 16 spitfire, plus the usual. That F6 never gets boring.

There is now also a F104 star-fighter on site, engine less at present, but plans are to make it able to taxi. Best news for me was that apparently "Black Mike" has now been paid for, paperwork signed etc. It is due to be dismantled wherever it is now and bought to Brunters, with hopefully a view to fast taxi !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but I only possess a mobile phone, so no pics and only two very poor videos.

Felt sorry for the chap who pranged is RC Jet Provost, gust of wind took it as it landed and promptly flipped it.

Edited to add that I've got the rather pathetic videos now on my desk top, how do I post em? Ta.

Edited again, after enlisting the help of my 11 year old, it now seems I have a youtube channel.

Sounds like you had fun biggrin

With a taxiable F-104 and an F-4 ("Black Mike" does look really cool!!), the collection at Brunty gets better and better yep Can't wait to see / hear them fast taxi!!

Thanks for posting your videos thumbsup What happened to the Nimrod - it seems to be missing a large section of it's rudder (has the Guppy taken a bite out of it)?

Cheers

Wind damage apparently, and not yet repaired.

What a nice collection of aircraft in just two shots.

In the first photo we have a Blackburn Beverley and what I assume is a VC-10?

In the second photo I can see a F-104 Starfighter, a couple of Folland Gnats (Red Arrows), a Jet Provost, a couple of Hawker Hunters and what look like two silver finish Fiat G.91s in the background.

Any more you can share?

Cheers smile

Although similar on looks and mission to the Bev, that's an Armstrong Whitworth Argosy.
