I agree, totally spectacular.

A question on the B-29. All throttle controls appear to be on the engineers station located behind the co-pilot. If that's the case, does that mean the pilot has to totally rely on the engineer to correctly advance throttles during take-off and landing? Kinda scary. What if the pilot needs to slam throttle forward for a emergency go around. Even a couple of seconds delay by the flight engineer could be fatal!

the pilot, co-pilot and flight engineer have access to throttles, for the pilot its on the left console by the trim wheel (blue coloured top levers smile )

Ahhh, thanks. So does he in fact control the throttles on take-off and landing? And the Engineers simply monitors?

No, the engineers controls the throttle on command by the captain on take off/landing as the engine were notoriously unreliable. You cannot just jam the throttle as you risk a stall and burning/ shut down of the engine. Imagine trying to fly a plane near max weight on fuel and bombs and think if you could concentrate on flying the plane while monitoring the engines as you adjust the throttle.
