Right now I have it connected to sliders, but I need to change it over to right side since I ditch the yoke and go for a stick.

I am going to make a throttle box on my left side attached to a old chair and add a collective stick. and in that regard I thought I switch to hall sensors. I am not familiar with these things and seek people that have been where I am at, so I do not have to re invent gun powder smile
Thanks in advance

Hi LuseKofte,

I think something like Sokol1's Cougar fix : RC linkages to Hall sensors

is probably your best bet. You'll be able to recycle most of your present set-up with the obvious change from linear motion to rotational motion at the sensor end.

looks very modernishy-phoney-windows eighty-tabletty like

Hello, what facebook group is that please? I'd like to read along and perhaps add some pictures of my own once in a while.

Internet
Get these Bit-Technologies 612x series, they are ready to use and affordable.

Pay attention in axis OD diameter, 1/8"will be more practical, and electrical travel - for "joystick" purpose better is 35 - 60 degrees.

LuseKofte, that is an awesome throttle quadrant you've got going there. Do you know what it came off of? I wish I knew more about Hall Sensors, but I don't frown I hope that Troll can help you out. How is the bomber control panel working!? I hope it's still doing well for you.
Take it easy!

It is from a UC-78/T-50 Bamboo Bomber, AT-17 Bobcat, Crane. 1942

I bought it several years ago from here http://coralbay.cc/wwii_aircraft_throttles.htm
Compared to the astronomical prices on eBay they sell these relatively cheap, I bought mine for about 250 $ and it was the only multiengine type they had. But they got way cooler throttles smile
, and made a good temporary solution with sliders. But I want to rebuild the entire setup and use a
Westland Whirlwind stick, and move my throttle to left side in a stand, together with a selfmade collective. I think my time as a permanent bomber pilot in COD and BOS are over. Nice to see you again Apache, still loving your panels smile

Thanks for the link Sokol, I appreciate your input in several forums smile you are a true asset and I have read all post everywhere , and learned something new every time.
I think I can use that rotary hall sensor in my collective build, but it is in my mind hard to get connected with 8 levelers in such a tight assembly .
I wondered if a hall sensor could be set on the end of a slide or something, and a magnet on the moving end. Would it register the magnet coming loser and further away? and if it does how far away from the sensor would it register?
I do not at the moment see how I can connect a rotary sensor to every level on the throttle. I might be blind
