What lovely damage model, you can even see single bullet holes in the plane, look at the tail and left wing also.
The damage models and physics are awesome. What do you think the odds are they will license the Frostbite 2 engine to OBD for WOFF 4? Imagine what they could do with it.
So watching some actual BF1 air combat in game has really, really....made me appreciate WOFF 3 more than ever. By watching it I learned that most aircraft in WWI had a maximum operating ceiling of roughly 500 feet and every round fired was a golf ball sized tracer equivalent to a 20mm canon. Seriously guys, it's painful to watch.
The ground combat looks a little better, but it's still not enough to wash the bad taste of the air combat out of your mouth.
Some more random multiplayer footage. Polovski, I want to add something to the Wish List for WOFF that shouldn't be too hard to do. Please promise to never, ever add that annoying woman's voice who incessantly nags you about which objects have just been won or lost, k? Thanks.
I was waiting for Indy to pick up a rock an shove it in the muzzle in that second video with tanks.
"Take the cylinder out of my kidneys, The connecting rod out of my brain, my brain, From out of my arse take the camshaft, And assemble the engine again."
To put a positive spin on it (not that I dislike some mindless FPS once in a while) this...maybe...could bring some newly-made WW1 fans over to WOFF for a look-see. I think any period exposure inevitably brings some fans to other games of "same genre."
What I don't understand is why are the Germans firing at you when you are flying a German plane? I'm sorry and I hope I don't offend anyone but this game looks really stupid.
