My environment and gloss settings are at 4. 9 is too unrealistic. My OCD kicked in when i hit 5 on both and the guns had a nice blue reflection to it. Having been in the military, I never saw a gun that had a reflection to it, even the new ones This is MY opinion though, so I hope no one takes offense.
Nice choice pal,i for one will test your settings and see how they look for me..it was my 1st test at full glossiness Ace and i have to agree with you its a bit too glossy haha Thanks for your settings
Yeah, as the one who coded these shaders I have to say that high glossiness settings appear really overdone. I just decided to keep them available just in case they suit someone's taste. Not mine, though Personally I think 4 or 5 are the most balanced ones. You can also try adjusting values separately like settings reflections higher and glossiness lower or vice versa. Maybe there's a better combo than the default one. These settings don't affect quality or FPS, only appearance (except if you set it to 0 - then real-time reflections are disabled and FPS may improve).
As for shiny guns - they are really on the glossy side in many crafts even with default settings, but it is a problem to fix when you have about 70 aircrafts and need to review each one.
Thanks for your input AnKor..and many thanks for the wonderful work on your shaders. I'm always amazed by your talent it's made WOFF even better...thank you

AnKor - the screenshots speak for themselves. Your work is amazing. Can't thank you enough for all of your efforts on taking WOFF immersion to the next level.
AnKor, the shader work you have done is amazing and simply stunning that it was originally only a dx8 game!!
Questions: 1. Is there a way to disable the ingame AA other than the ini file. Or is it the only method?
2. Is "Loading Runtimes" message that appears just before spawning on the field supposed to take a long time? seems to happen whenever I change the reflections/glossy settings in workshop.
1. No, no way (maybe in driver settings somewhere, but it isn't a good way). I'm not sure why devs coded it like this. Maybe you should create a thread in technical issues and if enough people want to disable AA they will add such option into the workshops. It shouldn't be a big deal.
2. Changing some graphics settings lie shadow quality can cause increased load time (by about 1 minute, usually less) in the first flight afterwards. This is because my dll has to update shaders with new settings. However this happens only after you see WOFF loading screen (with Camel and DrI outlines), not before that. Also, changing reflections/glossiness should not cause this. As for "Loading Runtimes" I don't know. All I can say is that it is unrelated to my code.
...Gunner was wounded for 33%, but that is his own fault he still refuses to shoot.
Didn't Pol recently recommend to select the attacker on TAC, and then press the "Attack" command key? Or did I get that wrong - not sure.
No but if that was possible let me know how. Right now the only decent answer was that the front gunner was sick because of a sharp turn, luckely when using the rear gun he does not suffer from that.
Dutch, I noticed that my gunner doesn't seem to fire when I am making steep climbs or dives. I don't have to be flying straight and level, but as long as I am not doing really rough flying, he seems to engage much more often than he used too.
believe me I have tested this a lot it is programmend defencive. This morning I was flying on top of the EIII, he only had to aim the gun down, but he did refuse. Later wen the EIII was on my back he did shoot direct with the reargun and in this case I was turning to get his tail.
But let us stop to that discussion it seems the devs know it and I can live with it, let us enjoy the Woff3 game. It is great and this is just a minor fault, people could read this wrong and not deciding to buy this game.

WOFF does look amazing now AnKor
By the way, ALL 75 aircraft had their texture properties adjusted including virtual cockpits to suit the new shaders. Twitch.
5/5 on the settings look good to me. I know I did it twitch twitch, and added cockpit effects to all 75 too, twitch twitch... I may have missed the odd setting here and there, but I am human
Want to see progressive cockpit damage in action? It's just awesome!!!
I set myself up in QC with an old, slow Allied 2 seater and put myself against an Ace Pfalz DIII. I flew pretty straight and level. He rakes me from the side, scoring hits and then zooms off outside gun range off my right wing to look me over. I took a few bullet rounds in the cockpit.
Eventually he decides to swing in behind me, wisely choosing to come in from below, making it near impossible for my front gunner to get a shot. (I was impressed with his AI skills, OBD!) Then he starts ripping into me and my cockpit start filling up with bullet holes and my goggles get splattered with more and more of my blood.
Checking out my high resolution plane, I see holes all over it. She eventually caches fire and that ends it for me, but let me tell you it is so incredible to see your cockpit deteriorating before your eyes! There's more fear in flying WOFF than ever before! Check out the video for yourself!

Olham, this command only works on scouts. Fees aren't scouts and the Attack command won't work for them.

I'm with Hellshade. The Fee gunner works fine for me. After switching to the front station, which takes a while, he is not shy about using the gun. In fact he sometimes sprays so much his gun keeps jamming.

Ive also created a thread here on SimHQ in the screenshot section..get your screenies over there as well guys it may just create some extra revenue for OBD,the more people that see WOFF 3,s work the better
