Just got home via mini cab...

I have follow set up and into flight sims.

980ti, core i7 5620, 16gb, warthog HOTAS (dms button is busted all else fine)
t500 + maximum performance pedals.
obutto rev

currently not able to open the boxes, some kind of deer in the headlights thing going on.

Most want to play dcs, elite, see what all the fuss is about.

going to go out and get a bottle of whiskey like jack Daniels.

currently thinking to open the rift first,

Edit: just want to do a thread to pass on a little of how awesome or not this is, dk2 was already pretty impressive.

updates soon :-)

I'm afraid both have been recalled, as they proved to be very dangerous. I know this, because I happen to work at the repair center European customers are to ship them to. Which happens to be located in my home. Your shipping costs will be fully reimbursed after the parcels have arrived. I'm trustworthy.

Nice, very jealous!

I received my Rift yesterday, and it felt like something was missing.

The whiskey, thanks for the tip. biggrin

Very nice! You are going to love the Rift in DCS. It really does put you in the cockpit.

I also have had fun with FSX using the FlyInside app and a LeapMotion controller.

Who are we? We find that we live on an insignificant planet of a humdrum star lost in a galaxy tucked away in some forgotten corner of a universe in which there are far more galaxies than people.

Just firing dcs back up as I think I have found out the cv1 view reset button (button 5 on num pad?).

I forgot I had the rift on and was just doing a free flight and was totally convinced I was flying lol,
audio is impressive, has a nice punch to it.

Having difficulty's getting steam vr working, getting this 301 error but hope to resolve it.

its a solid benchmark platform.

the vive has no comparison with regards to design, the rift is very advanced in design.

Will try the vive tomorrow its late now, just one more power up of dcs to see if this view reset works!

Imagine using Rift / Vive to recreate this:

I'm of the opinion that naked chicks beat a guy on a skyscraper any day of the week. But I won't post a video of that 'cos it's against the rules. biggrin

Seriously though, it's strange that no company is thinking on using these things for pr0n, isn't it?

Ummm... a simple Google search indicates otherwise.
