I got the money back for Saitek X55 Rhino, and i don't know what else should i get.
I guess, the next product X56 has the same quality, only with different colors, so it's not worth, imo
I would purchase Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, but i have no rudder pedals, and maybe it would be very difficult to use it for WW2 / WW1 aircrafts, without Z axis / rudder pedals.
It's really impossible to fly or take off ( WW1 / WW2 planes ) without pedals / no Z axis ??

Especially for many WW1 aircraft, rudder is very important, and I recommend to buy
real hardware pedals, if you want the "full-real feeling" of it.

If you are looking for a priceworthy solution without pedals, I recommend the
THRUSTMASTER T.16000M twist stick. The BIG strength of it is the matrix inside -
it has the same high resolution as the big "Warthog", which makes great precision.
Also, the strong spring must be unbreakable, or so I read.

Drawbacks:
- the throttle slider (which also has a very fine resolution) has a short glide way,
and is positioned right behind the stick, which MAY be a bit crammed, when you pull
back the stick.
(My solution: I glued a plastic handle to it with superglue - much nicer handling.)

- the green bottom area is lighted from underneath - stupid idea, good for nothing!

Yes, T16000M it's okay, but not to many buttons on the joystick.

I would second the rudder pedals... if you can find them.
It appears the Saitek pedals are out of stock everywhere.

There are the CH Pedals - which have been reported as being a bit narrow but still functional.

Past that things start to get really expensive with limited production pedals.

I have the Saitek Throttle Quadrant and really like it.

I also use the Thrustmaster MFD panels.

I use and recommend the Saitek pedals.
According to AMAZON, they will soon be back on stock.

I've not come across a plane it did not work on.

Obviously those planes that only have a blip switch will need a button, I've not flown one of those in WOFF.

Guess you not really need this as you have a HOTAS.

Yes I like my Saitek pedals also, though thinking now I should have bought the combat pedals instead of the normal pro flight pedals.

That's bad indeed - damn, it looked solid built, and I had ogled it.

For the pedals and throttle i have some options to choice from, but i can't decide which joystick i should go for.
I could wait for the Thrustmaster new gears lineup, or even for the Saitek X56

Unfortunately it's still a waiting game at this point.

Most of those products from VKB are still a good few months away and if you miss to pre-order in time they will be out of stock soon I think.

Personally I don't have my hopes up that Thrustmaster will come up with something great.

Well,I saw those Pedals they plan to release. I just have a bad feeling about the other products they may come up with.^^

I hope they release a good joystick, something between Warthog and X55
We'll see, soon. If there is nothing worth to buy, i will wait for the X56 Saitek, allthough i have the feeling, there wont be much improvements over X55
