It's a good old flightsim the IL- 2 Sturmovik: 1946. Wouldn't it be great if one could just fly it? Have a look:

We need a simmers OS

I have just gotten Grand Prix Legends to work on my simming rig. I still love that old sim. And of course I broke my big toe quite well last night so...no GPL for a while lol

What kind of car is that? What does it matter? When I drive it, I'm Steve McQueen

An excellent idea. An OS that would consist only of what's necessary to run sims or, more generally, games: core OS, native DirectX and OGL support, hardware drivers and TCPIP protocols. Things would run smoother, especially without all the auto updating programs using the internet connection on regular basis. Well, maybe some day.

Cheers smile.

Well, that is what Steam OS is supposed to basically be but they need to code a directx emulator and not use that crap WINE.

I find no problem with using Win7Pro, but I don't fly online.
I do hope someone comes up with a solution for that.
IMHO IL2/FB/PF and all it's MOD's, makes it the best WWII flight sim one can fly.

I use the 'CUP' mod, and fly one flight a day.
Sure would be nice to fly in a squadron.

Not sure why you would have a problem since I fly online with Win7 all the time.
Would you intend to set up another rig to fly online or just use your current offline box?
