Let's face it, many skins are great "factory fresh" presentations, which is fine for airshows and museums and those rare new delivery birds, but not really what most people see on a flying airframe. Weathering is what makes the planes look real. It's also not as simple to do (note: simple and easy are not synonyms, something can be hard but simple) and some skinners out there either avoid it or aren't great at it. You, sir, deserve an internet medal for both attempting and succeeding in taking the extra steps.  The Jedi Master

The Jedi Master Couldnt agree more with you, weathering is KEY to make planes look REAL and at the same time to enjoy way more making zoom to them and see all little details so well said!!!
