. Greetings All, I've had a lot of windshield time as of late which gives me a lot of time to just think, and sometimes I mull over ideas about WOFF. Yesterday afternoon, as I was returning home, I was pondering if there might not be a way to have a bridge in the WOFF landscape that would actually span a valley. Normally, with the CFS3 engine, you can only have bridges that are simply plopped onto the landscape with a ramp at each end. They don't actually go over a depression of any kind. Now, I know from past experience that even if you could sort out building a bridge across a valley or ravine or whatever, that if you were planning on fitting it to a rail line or road that the traffic on said rail line or road would not actually travel across the bridge but would continue to follow along on the ground below it - it's just the nature of the beast. None-the-less, even with that shortcoming, I think it would still be a nice little scenery item to sort out. So, this morning I went and dug out Pat Pattle's old Antheor Viaduct mod for CFS3 to use as a test for my idea. After not a lot of mucking about and some customizing to Pat's old facility file, I have actually achieved some measure of success. (right click on image to open it full size in a new window)Still some testing and tweaking to do, as well as some paint work, but so far I am liking it. Assuming I can get to a point where this all works well in the sim, is it something you folks would be interested in having? Later. Lou .

I am having a Blue Max flashback. The spans underneath are probably "solidl" and you cannot fly between them? Or maybe not... Guess I am seeing the terrain through them? Sounds very interesting! Duke; can the bridge be easily stretched to fit the gorge, and if so would it entail cut and paste in a graphics program, or by some other means ( I'm thinking of like compiling and creating an .xdp, .m3d, and .bdp?

. You should know by now that nothing is simple when it comes to working with the CFS3 engine. . Yeah, spoil my fantasy why don't you!

Looks phantastic, Lou! Great landmark! Since you are mostly on the road in your job, you may have missed this request by Shredward: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4231961/Landmarks#Post4231961

Gee, that is beautiful! Thank you, Clive (if you ever should read here)! And thank you, Lou, for the time! I often wonder if you know a secret how to get 27 hours out of a day - you are mostly on the road, you have family, and then you still find the time for the flying; and then even for modding??? Maybe Winder and Pol told you the trick - they also seem to use 1 1/2 lives.
I wished someone would teach me trick, as I'd need a 30-hours-day - I spend so much time with being tired or sleeping already. But then I guess it has something to do with "get up early!"...

Lou;
That is some fine work and of course I agree that Clive provides some amazing help to us modders.
Cheers mate
