The black paint is matt. But covered with transparent varnish. It is necessary to prevent of paint erasure.

The varnish makes it look shiny, that's all. Maybe use matte varnish? Or is it matte in real life and the pics are just lying?

I personally prefer matte/dull colors in a pit, that's all.
