I think it would be easier to list 70s TV shows that were NOT cheesy. I had an Emergency board game I think. Yes! This one: I wasn't even a teenager when I watched this show but I liked it. I can't imagine my daughters watching something like this today. The Jedi Master I absolutely Loved this show when I was young! Thanks for the memories, Jedi: I used to play that game with my friend all the time.

Cheesy -- Fantasy Island.
Max cheese.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

Cheesy -- Fantasy Island.
Max cheese. It had great guest stars though. The "Love Boat" was another one. Wheels

"Buck Rogers in the 25th Century"
Top that for cheese. And we have a winner. That show came with extra cheese. I loved me some Erin Grey in those tight space disco outfits.

There were some real cheesy winners in the 70s, but I still can't pull myself away from Three's Company (with Suzanne Summers). She still amazes me with those tight sweaters and short shorts...lol. We have "Antenna TV" (15-2 local)that shows all of the classics and goofball old tv shows.

I liked Jenilee Harrison better than Suzanne.
Suzanne Somers got what she deserved with her stupidity and greed.
She didn't have a movie/tv career after Three's Company and the thigh master commercials do not count!
Her best acting role to date are still the dead blonde in the swimming pool in Magnum Force and the pretty blonde bystander in Bullitt.
Both roles which required her to not say a damn thing and keep her mouth shut which she should had done while on Three's Company except to read and recite her lines in front of the camera. ...but she always looked good in a tight sweater and short shorts...lol. I never mentioned anything about her acting ability...or lack thereof.

Buck Rogers season two was a Monty Python cheese shop sketch load of cheese. That Hawk guy pretty much single-handedly ruined most of the episodes, although the bumbling Brit doctor and the C-3P0 with a bad attitude robot fought for a close second.
On the other hand, the first season was fairly good and still holds up pretty well today. One episode had both Jack Palance and Roddy McDowall as guest stars.
I got the complete series on DVD cheap like 10 years ago and I enjoyed the first season a lot, the second far much less so.

I saw an old episode on of Lost in Space the other night (I now it's cheesy show from the 60's). That has to be the all time cheese show. Who the could write that stuff and expect to be taken seriously? I remember as a kid hoping that the show would go more in a science fiction direction, but it always ended up in the cheese bin. The talking carrot character was the lowest point. The series had taken such a cheezy direction that June Lockhart and Guy Williams protested enough that they were written out of the last two episodes of the series. Lost in Space wasn't picked up for renewal because of the carrot show... which was either the last or second to last episode to air. If you watched with any regularity as a kid you'll notice the episodes became more kid-centric. The adults appeared less and less. The father and Don were doing geological expeditions. The mother was relegated to folding laundry in the "clothing-rack-a-cycle." There was always something going on with the two kids and Dr. Smith. Too bad. I liked the first year. They hit the USSR/USA paranoia of the day quite well. The atmosphere of the show was much more serious and I think it would have served the show better if they stayed in that direction. Now, when I think of LiS I think of John Williams' soundtrack. He wrote the theme songs and episode music. Some of it was quite good for a two bit show. It certainly revealed his talent and gives a glimpse into why he became the composer he did.

She didn't do anything different than what most of the actors are doing these days when they are on a hit show. She was just ahead of the curve. She also had another series that ran for most of the 90's with Patrick Duffy. Wheels
