What gets your juices flowing? Is it carrier ops F18s, F14, A6, A7 Or is it F16, F15, F117, B52 Or Piper, Cessna
For me it has always been boats and planes. Thats why I fell in love with the F14...Maybe the bast beautiful bird ever. That and the Corsair.
But I LOVE the F16, F18, F14
I really have no love for the century series planes.
Just looking to see what gets you gong when it comes to aviation

From a simulation perspective I love naval aviation, preferably WWII. In other words I'm not happy with my sim selection these days.

The skyraider has always been a favorite of mine, a brute of an aircraft. Also the F-8 crusader. It's always been naval aircraft, something about flying an airplane off of a ship. Even the catapult hurricanes of WW2 I found really interesting as a kid.
DCS Kickstarter Wags July 2014 "In this July 2014 update, the primary news is in regards to the restructured backer rewards. After a careful review of the older system under RRG, we found it financially unattainable." Wags October 2017 "the investment vs. generated revenue has been excellent for the World War II aircraft. In fact, the P-51D Mustang has twice the cost effectiveness of the A-10C Warthog."

I enjoy them all, from WW1 canvas deathtraps to modern jets.
If I had three wishes from the flightsim faerie though:
1.) WW2 Western Front 2.) WW2 Pacific 3.) Cold War Gone Hot set in Western Europe in the 1980s

In the sim world, I like military aircraft, especially Western cold war era aircraft. I have to admit Eastern Bloc aircraft hold little interest for me though. Also, while I like to learn about the simulated aircraft I fly, I am not at all interested in bringing up an A10 or F16 from a cold dark cockpit, which seems far too much like work for me.

Jets, doesn't matter which branch as long as they have burners! I can't stand civilian aviation, bores the heck out of me...

It doesn't get much attention. But I have always loved the F-5E. Just looks like a little bad a$$. Don't know much about it's real combat record, but it looks like it would kick butt in a turning fight.

The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events. More dumb stuff at http://www.darts-page.comFrom Laser: "The forum is the place where combat (real time) flight simulator fans come to play turn based strategy combat."

Something about a Tomcat on the deck of a carrier chained down and a nose on view. Awesome plane.
My father passed away in '86 and we would go to the cemetery in Calverton, NY and right next to it was the Grumman plant in Calverton...As I would sit there as a kid all sad and dreary F14, A6, E2 would be testing engines and doing touch and gos and flying right overhead.
After my Mom and I would visit Dad we would go over to the fence right next to the runway and watch as the planes passed feet above us and landed or took off...Ill never forget the navigator of an A6 sitting there in his orange flight suit giving us the thumbs up just as they were about to land. Id look at the runway and wish I could get in there. Not to long ago I was driving my Jeep on that same runway as the Grumman plant is now closed it is a bunch of small businesses. Such a shame. From that #%&*$# time in my life rose a love for aircraft that still lives today. Weird.

If only a producer would produce an F4 Phantom for the DCS Collection to go with the MiGs Well, at least we had some fun flying it in USNF 97. v6, boNes PS. my vote goes to Naval Aviation.

Perfect personal aircraft (IMO): OV10 Bronco
Fast...it'll get you where you want to go about as quick as anything short of jet propulsion. Maneuverable...you can have fun getting there. Great visibility...after all, what's the point of doing 200-300 kts at 10,000 ft unless you can see the world going by? Without all the military comm gear it's got lots of room for luggage, etc. Might even be able to put a motorcycle in the bay, I'm not sure exactly how big it is.
If I ever hit the lottery, that's the plane I'd like to buy. If there were any available. Which there probably aren't and won't be. But that's ok because I'd have to hit the lottery first, anyway.
SALUTE TO ALL!
