For almost ten years i'm planning, drawing and scetching sim stuff. Because of my everlasting twitching urge to dive into one idea, do a bunch of drawings, and then come to the conclusion that another plane would be nicer. I made a lot of different stuff on my hard drive. I started with autocad and just recently got serious with basic 3d drawing.

This evening whilst workin on my latest stuff I got the idea that it would be nice if people could share some of their work in progress. Scetches, napkin drawings, noodling around, brain fart, you name it.....

This is what keeps me busy for the last couple of days

Sweet, I'm not sure if I have any sketches (graph paper) lying around. I think most of the time I drew up what I wanted on the plywood and then cut it out and used it (or its still sitting in the garage..... A10C front panel and side consoles).

I've got a bad feeling about this.....

Thanks gents!

@453Raafspitty: Will see If I get that far smile

For those interested in how I made the drawing:
I collect pictures with details of cockpits I like. Those come in handy for small details and such. The base of the drawings I try to get out of aircraft manuals. Mainly the big foldouts in the back of those. I upload them in a new file and scale them to size with help of known instruments or panel sizes. Then I basicly trace them as best as I can and use these to build the different views needed to make the 3d objects. So there is a lot of guessing involved when exact views or dimensions are missing. And I can tell you that is going on a lot in my drawings biggrin
My biggest goal is to make them based of pictures and plans found on the web. I bought one ebook for the F-14. But the main parts I pulled out of the nato flight manual that can be found with a little googling.

The basic research is a hobby on its own smile

Gheghe, working on to much stuff. I'm figuring out a Huey collective. And searching for F-5E info.... biggrin
The F-14 is D based. The DCS is a/b, so I'm thinking of a little conversion.

So, I last commented on my threat in 19-6-2016................ yup, very consistent work flow from my side........
Do I got news or dramatically special updates or such............. nope....... Real life is quite something nowadays wink
My job demands much computer assigned work, that really knackers quite a lot in my willingness to sit behind a screen at home. Also that "dad" thing eats up precious time(and that's great btw smile )

Looked through the current threats and must say, WOW. Great stuff! Love the 3d printer possibility's that a lot of creative minds use in the hobby!

Ok so, I'm still around, lurking away, and hope I can add something useful when needed smile
