Looking at the LG 24 GM77 ( at about $300 ).

How will my rig like it? Any issues you forsee?

Remember I am spending my money and the kids get what left.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Since you have a 780 Ti, same card that I have, have you considered looking at any of the G-Sync monitors that allow you to get rid of v-sync - removing stutters and screen tearing? I bought an expensive 27" model but I'm sure you could find a 24" for around the same price or maybe not too much more.

Hej to all.

I recently invested in a new gaming monitor. It is one that has a short reaction time (1ms) and 144hz as your favourite has.
Actually I bought an ASUS 27 inch monitor (MG278Q). It has freesync technology, supposed to eliminate tearing by adjusting the monitors framerate to the actual output of the graphics card. The same monitor is available aswell with G-sync technologie, which would fit to your NVIDIA graphics card.

Although I wasn´t able to examine the freesync performance as I have a rather old Radeon card in my system which can´t handle freesync (I have to save some money until I invest in a new, freesyncable graphics card) I am very satisfied with the monitor so far. Although it has a much more demanding resolution GPU wise (2560 x 1440) the frame rates with WOFF are absolutely okay (between 35 and 60 FPS, depending on the situation) even with my old Radeon HD 4870 card.

What I really like and what makes a difference like night and day to my old 23 inch monitor is the wider peripheral view. The situational awareness increases dramatically. To an extent that I feel somewhat blind when recalling being in a dogfight with my older 23 inch setup... really!
Although it still does not match the angle of vision a real pilot has, it is a great, great improvement!

With a 780 Ti in your system, I'd go for a 1080p monitor with IPS instead of TN if you want the best possible color and stay at maximum settings while maintaining 50-60 FPS in WOFF.

Better if you google IPS and TN display types to find out the difference in games instead of me trying to explain with my poor English writing.

I use an ASUS VN279Q, 1920 x 1080 pixels, with an ATI RADEON HD7870 (2 MB) GPU.
I get 60 fps with WOFF and no tearing edges.

Olham, Is this not because your Vsync is on??

My advice:
Big screen 27"
2560x1440
IPS or similar
G-sync system for nVidia and Freesync as for AMD

Oeps guess something like 750,- euro's as we can not check your budget.

My advice connect your PC to your TV, adjust your TV to game mode if this is available and see what you like.

After looking over my needs and space it looks like I am stuck with a 24 inch monitor.

Just about to "pull the trigger" on a Benq XL 2430T from Amazon.

Any comments or warnings!!

Thanks Guys!!!

I have an older Benq XL2410T which I am very pleased with. Needed calibrating on purchase though.
