I've read that pilots have seen artillery shells 'flying' across the lines.
That would be a cool experience for the sim!
A frightening experience for Cecil Lewis*, when they had to fly artillery spotting
with their Morane Parasol. They flew right at the azimuth of the ballistic curve,
and he realised that they could see the muzzle flashes of their cannons - which
meant, that they were right in the line of fire. Very often they could see the huge
granades comming towards them, passing them at close range.
When he returned from a leave one day, he learned that his comrades, who had taken
over the job, had been killed by a direct hit.

But ARUP, I guess that such "extras" would only cost a lot of resources again.
Resources of the players' rigs; and resources of the devs in the making process,
when they could and should probably build more needed things?
