Hope it'll have:
-good ATC/IFR procedure
-liners/jets/ anythingotherthanGAplanes
-good ground control/feeling
-sloped runways
-VR
-even if they're doing ala TrainSim with their tons of DLC, hope it'll be modable to have a tons a freeware planes/airports/scenery

It is correct. I just got an e-mail stating... As a way of showing our appreciation for your support, we will be gifting a copy of Flight Sim World to everyone who invested in Dovetail Games Flight School *edit* This was a nice surprise but given their past history with free upgrades to Train Sim,perhaps not totally unexpected.I won't put my joystick into storage just yet.

I see it's going into early access,do we know how you can get into that? As a Flight School owner do I get EA? My guess is the game will pop in in your steam library when they launch EA. Still looking to verify that though. Yep: It will be automatically be added to your library when Flight Sim World goes into Early Access

That was a very interesting LiveStream. 7 high quality GA aircraft available upon early access. Entire world rendered and over 24,000 airports.
If you missed it, Early Access will begin on May 18. If you didn't buy into Flight School, Flight Sim World will be $25 USD. 25$ for a new flight sim seems reasonable even if you have to buy a lot of planes IMO EDIT: you can clearly see that it has some FSX in it : ground/airports lights; ground texture seems good, hope that it'll perform well

Well... it's not going to be anything serious IMHO. It still feels like Flight School. Poor flight planning options, gfx is not that great, although a bit better than Flight School. So my question is, why getting FSW when there's FSX? FSW feels like a poor man's FSX which still is a great platform for anyone trying to get into flying.
First steam reviews are depressing... i know it's early acces but i doubt that this will grow to anything close to FSX.

from 1 of the developper on Steam I think it's easy to lose sight that we're working on an Early Access product and we have a pretty ambitious roadmap.
Some things are core to the simulation experience, cold dark starts, improvements to instrument reading etc.
Though we also have big changes planned for the sky and ground textures. Early Access is the start of the journey and it's a lot easier to work with constructive feedbck (which we can collate and work on) than to be told that it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥"

Ah the joys of the Steam forums. Full of immature entitled brats. Before being allowed to buy an EA game the potential customer should be made to read out loud to teacher what exactly an EA game is and that they understand what they are getting in to before clicking on the 'buy' button.
FWIW I'm getting 35-50 fps on high detail (GTX970/i5-6600 non-O/C/8 gb mem). Loading times not bad on mechanical disc (didn't have room on SSD)
