I've just happened to have a colleague who bought them a long time ago (+10 years) and now he's changing life, state and workplace.

Therefore he's giving them to me! biggrin
Pictures will come as soon as the delivery is here and I'll let you know about the stuff..

Impressive write-up and extensive plans. Thanks for sharing this with the community. I don't really have plans to build a pit like this but I have to tip my hat to you guys for making this excellent tutorial available.

Very nice! Material costs are well out of my reach right now, though, especially with the Rift on the horizon. I better start saving up.

Oh, and since I've seen that you have a real A-10A cockpit and all over on the ED forums that these plans are derived from, do you know what kind of screws the real throttle quadrant's been threaded with?

I never got around to building an enclosure for mine like I should have last year, and seeing these plans made me think about how I should approach that again.

I am not sure what screw your talking about. If it is the four mounting holes in the front and back they are 1/4 28 by 3/4 long.

If you looking for the consoles left right and center I will be having some made soon possibly by a local company.

I was talking about the mounting holes, yes.

I didn't know the lead/pitch used and was wondering if I could grab some at a local hardware store without fear of crossthreading and ruining the threads. So if I'm reading that right, it's 1/4"-28 thread, 3/4" long? Should be easy enough to find.

Looking forward to the side consoles! The only tricky part there is that the left console would have to be constructed very differently for use with TM HOTAS Warthog throttles compared to real throttle quadrants like we have.

Yes your reading it right on the bolt size.
The problem of the length of the TM throttle has been addressed on my ED form thread. With little to no interest shown by TM warthog owners I am not really all that concerned with it. If they start to scream a demand for it I may work out some thing. I don't run a business I promised another cockpit builder that has an real throttle the consoles so they are all most done in SW. They will be cut by a local company that works with aluminum. Sorry if I am a bit curt.
