Dont think of it as being vastly outnumbered ... but just having a large target selection.

Is this likely to be a SimHQ thing? The aesthetic improvements come pro bono. $30 won't break the bank but I have no reason to do it unless this becomes something we do regularly. Its extremely likely to a near certainty it will be. As for the eden editor, thats supposed to come out with the nexus update, which shouldn't be far off

If we all get it, then it's worth it. If some regulars don't get it, that will be problematic as either they are excluded when the map is played or those who have it are forced to play the old maps until they do. So, if we all make a promise to get it, it shouldn't be an issue. The Jedi Master

Day 1 purchase. I am sure I will use this plenty.

BIS posted that the graphical update is being pushed back to the Apex release. http://dev.arma3.com/post/sitrep-00139 "In our video update we also mention that the Visual Update, previously planned for Eden Update, has now slipped to Apex" That's too far to wait after seeing that screenshot.

Should be good. I've never passed up an official expansion, they're always quality additions to the base game.

Is it expected that this graphical update will bump up system requirements to play it at the same level, or are they optimizing it at the same time?
I mean, I guess it would just be a guy who you know, grabs bananas and runs. Or, um, a banana that grabs things. I don't know. Why would a banana grab another banana? Those are the kind of questions I just don't want to answer. -Michael Bluth

they've said the only real performance killer will be the real time reflections on the water, the rest is pretty much on par with current performance.
