Alright then, let's have it. Post your photos of your favorite alcohol. Don't be shy if you're a complete boozer like me, post them ALL up if you like more than one.

Don't go taking random internet photos now. Take your own photo (You do have a smartphone or digital camera don't you?) and post it up. You do not necessarily need to post in the same format as I have (i.e. taking a photo of the poured glass is perfectly fine even though I've taken photos of bottles of my favorite stuff)

I'll get started. My piano teacher recently introduced me to Captain Morgan's Private Stock Rum and I was blown away by how smooooooth it is. My normal idea of rum was that it was something to be mixed with eggnog or cola, but he just poured a shot of this, no ice, no water, no nothing, and said "drink". It was like drinking vanilla and spice accented water, this stuff's dangerous!

Of course, I have many other favorite alcohols, but this is a good enough start.

I'm out of Crown. frown

Bottle far right, Costco's Kirkland Signature Vodka. Supposedly Grey Goose quality at a Walmart price ($14.00)...

Kirkland Signature Vodka (Costco)

Review: Kirkland Signature Vodka (or, Is It Or Is It Not Grey Goose?)

A little research update...

http://www.yelp.com/topic/honolulu-kirkland-american-vodka

"Costco has done it again.
The new Kirkland American Vodka is a winner and only $13.89 for 1.75 bottle. What a deal!!"

Wife says we paid $14.00 so we bought the cheaper American version (vs. the $30.00 European version Costco sells) which is the one getting all the praise, I think (see comments in link above). Next time we shop I'm picking up a couple more.

Still like Crown Royal whisky best though, I have a collection of little (and some big) purple bags.

Not too much into spirits, but Capt. Morgan spiced rum is quite nice.

as for beer...

And my favourite beer: Kasteel Donker

But this is my all time favourite, Dow's 1966 vintage port, I had a case of it at one time but it has all gone now and I have 1 bottle of Dow's 1970 left

Teeling is matured in Rum casks with extra malty goodness.

If you like spiced rum and want to try it as close as the original caribbean concept, this is it.

Not particlary great, but the falvor brings back great memories for me. Great mixed with pineapple juice.

Currently drinking. This is a seriously good gin I got for Christmas.

My favourite single malt, the Bowmore White Sands, formerly known as the Bowmore 17. It is smoky, like an Islay whisky should be, and it has a delicious aftertaste that lingers in your mouth, with a hint of toffee and chocolate. Absolutely lovely stuff!

The Balvenie Doublewood. A round, mellow single malt. This one is as good an introduction to the world of single malts as you're ever likely to find!

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Ahh guiness, definitely one of my favorite stouts!
Be careful letting the cat drink too much of that, alcohol is pretty toxic to cats and a kitten is more sensitive than an adult. A couple licks is about all they can handle before liver damage!

Don't have a cat but the wife loves Guinness, the Guinness we get here has about double the alcohol that you get in the UK, and the label says "Crafted for Belgium" and they incorporate the colours of the Belgian flag into the label too.

It's not the best beer out there, but it's consistent and you can get it nearly anywhere. And best or not, it's pretty damn good!

I'm pretty sure the alcohol had evaporated from the little bit of beer that stays in the groove in the can top, he was probably going for the malt smell more than anything else.

Lots of nice alcohols in this thread, I am liking that Kraken spiced rum bottle, I think I'll try to find some and see how it tastes.

Here's another of my favs, Ballantine's Gold Seal Extra scotch single malt, a little expensive (Around $60-$100 per bottle depending on where you buy it, IF you can find it)

I used to get to drive one of the owner's of Ballantine's whisky's Rolls Royce, the dear old lady kept having trouble getting it out of the gates of her estate and sometimes she would leave a bit too much room on one side or the other and considering that the gates were only 6" wider than the car and she was in her late 80s ... driving

Photo I took in Proserpine Airlie Beach Queensland Australia about 6 years ago.

No. They don't drink Foster beer there. They love Corona beer, we were told it's their #1 imported beer and it ain't cheap to buy either.

I am amazed to see that the gallery is still up on Imagebam after all these years. There are some nice aerial photos of Sydney, Sydney Harbor, Bondi Beach, Queensland girls and Queensland frogs:

Last night I picked up the Costco Vodka that's imported from France (clear bottle on right), the same size at 1.75L but $19.00 vs. $14.00. Later this evening I'll do a little taste test comparison to see if the additional $5.00 is worth it (like I can really tell the difference)...

In any case, both are being raved about all over the internet for the price. You can't tell so much by my pics, but a 1.75L bottle is huge! I have enough Vodka now to last at least a week! biggrin Nah, at my pace more like a year.

This one
Flor de Cana,
a "pacific side" latin american rum (apparently that distinction
is considered important) which tastes more like a very
smooth 16yo scotch,

And this one

which is a spanish fortified wine (actually it used to
be fortified, but the new yeasts allow it to be simply
fermented to reach 15%, apparently a lot of them are
doing that now) and were it from Xerez, it would be called
sherry, but from Montilla, it is called Amontillado fino,
bone dry at zero % sugar.

They're quite nice separately, and completely different
from each other, but with exactly the right proportion,
mixed together into something which is halfway in between,
they make a totally unexpected subtle and sophisticated
drink which is unlike anything I've ever encountered,
and feels like you should be extremely wealthy to afford
to drink it.
