There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

That was pretty funny!

When I was in my teens, I was swarmed by about a dozen children. Nothing as active at that, just small gremlin-like things jumping over me with their wicked smiles.

Left a mark. Every time I see a phalanx of children I feel nauseous.

Ice Cold in Alex or Eating in ...
Humph! the only thing that happened to me when I visited Norway when I was 16 was I got dragged off by a bunch of young ladies for all of about 10 seconds, then my father grabbed me by the collar and said "No you don't"

Bummer frown

Still, it is a happy memory of what could have been biggrin

Norway has this most delicious and amazing delicacy, I have no idea what it's called, but it's basically a bacon-wrapped hot dog; we just assumed it was called Candy of the Lord

That was great biggrin

to us "pig in blanket" is a cocktail wiener or small bit of sausage wrapped in pastry.

The marines made some serious tactical errors. They attacked a vastly numerically superior enemy on the enemy's home ground using indigenous weapons with which they themselves were woefully unfamiliar. "OO-RAH" does not always win the day.

It's called.....drum roll.... Baconpølse, literally "bacon sausage." And it is usually also stuffed with cheese wink

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!
