I just wanted to take a moment and create a thread to thank OBD for all that they have done for P1, P2, OFF, OFF:BH&H, WOFF & WOFF V2. What started out as a little CFS3 mod has blossomed over the years into a full fledged WWI flight simulator with unmatched options and features anywhere on the market. Most of us have posted stuff in the Wish Thread at one point or another and I just wanted to thank OBD for all the great issues they resolved and new features they added which really brought WOFF V2 to an entirely new level of immersion. Each improvement was another jewel in the crown of the most comprehensive, historically accurate single player WWI flight sim yet created. Among my favorite bug fixes and new features I'm most thankful for are: Pilot wounding effects to easily know when you've been shot Incredibly life like AI that looks to survive first - no more terminator behavior - but also makes mistakes No more "flying tanks" or "flying funeral pyres" that takes 1,000 rounds to kill or keeps flying forever while burning No more "stalled T" flying behavior that made for easy kills as they hung in one spot Great new sound effects from engines to guns firing to exploding archie. Flights of Gotha Bombers! Zeps! The incredible Workshop interface overhaul New Shaders - courtesy of AnKors tremendous talents, but that OBD was willing and able to integrate into the sim The list goes on, but I just wanted to give my appreciation for all of the hard work and effort OBD has poured into this sim. It's a labor of love and that can clearly been seen in the end result. Thanks for all that you've done guys. It's awesome.

Very well said, Hellshade!
I was just reflecting on my first full year with WOFF. I must have flown over 200 hours since discovering it last December. I chose quite early on to fly with virtually full-on realism, and I've gradually learned the ropes - at least the basics! I still have much to master, especially in combat - aiming, tactics and manouvers (I finally ordered a TrackIR5, so that will help!). I think it's a real testament to OBD how their incredible work makes this experience so visceral and endlessly fascinating! Combine all that with this fantastic community of virtual pilots, the wonderful mod makers (huge shout out to Lou for the amazing maps) and the DiD organizers, and it's been one amazing year for me!
Here's to a fantastic 2016 to everyone, in WOFF's virtual skies!

Whole hardheartedly agree. I'm just sorry I've missed out on so many years of enjoyment. But I am ecstatic on all the years to look forward to. It's been many a year since a computer game simulation has taken me the way WOFF has. A big thank you to all the developers and to all the aficionados who have helped WOFF evolve over the years.

I'd be remiss if I didn't join in the chorus.
Best to you, OBD, in the new year, and thanks - as well as to others in the community, Ankor, Hellshade, Olham, RAF Louvert for his maps & the Sugar Factory, so many skinners and everyone willing to help where they can. One really can't mention them all by name, so believe me I didn't intent to slight anyone.
Best bunch on the web, the Barmy lot of ya!

I agree with with the comments made by Hellsahde - this is just not only a incredible sim, but also the forum members who have over the years have shared info, how to's, aircraft skins and some excellent AAR - my hat off to you all gentlemen.

. I'll jump in on the 'wave' here as well and add my own sincere thank you to the OBD team. I came to this fantastic sim directly from RB3D, back around Christmas time of 2008. The official forum was at SOH back then - a long time ago in a galaxy far far away - or so it seems now. It has been seven years of absolute enjoyment, and while I've taken a couple of short sabbaticals from active involvement over the course of those seven years I've always come back. Why? Because this sim grabs and holds my attention like none other. That is a true testament to just how well constructed, how deep, how immersive WOFF is. And how fresh the devs manage to keep it after a decade of work on it. Salute to the lot of you, you gents are the best! .

Talk about a blast from the past. Look what I just found buried deep within the installation files? Great artwork! What a find, Hellshade!!
