I've been involved with beta testing of a new online blueprint library service . I came across Aircorps Library while searching for P-51 technical drawings for some of my projects. It's been an invaluable tool for me, even giving me some new ideas of parts I want to model in the future. I'm sure it will interest many of you guys, mainly those working on American aircraft to begin with, but the catalog is likely to expand in the future. For me, this was a better option than purchasing a dvd set on ebay, and about half the cost (for a year of access). It's really easy to search and navigate, and the quality of the scans is very good. I've posted my first project in my own thread, but here's the pedal replica I've designed using the service:

The site is going live today, and I received an email from them which I will paste below:

Oh yeah I saw you were doing a p-40 cockpit, so this library will probably be a great tool for you. Anyone know of anything else like this? Any other good blueprint websites?

Blueprints are notoriously kept at a cost and sharing through websites are hard.A good one for manuals is http://ww2aircraft.net/forum/technical/ wink
Not just P40 but about to release my 109 pit drawings. And boring Spitfire stuff..

Nice! I just splurged on the 3000+ spit drawings from plans.aero. May not be the cheapest way, but pretty happy with the quality. I've thought about bouncing across though to the Mustang. Sounds like a good deal considering the amount of data available and the work involved in making good scans.

I worked on a B-17 restoration years back. Enjoyed looking through the structural repair manual and seeing the flak/bullet hole repair scenarios. smile2

Glad you guys are getting some use out of it. More stuff keeps getting added all the time. I agree on the parts manuals spitty. They're working on interactive ones for just that reason. Flux, I poked around looking for mustang drawings for a while, and I'd have joined ACLib just for that one plane, so everything else is bonus. I sometimes just browse manuals and drawings in awe of the skill involved with this type of work. How much were those spitfire drawings? I'm going to model some parts once the Mk.IX comes to DCS world, so those will be handy.
