Well you cant really tell by trailers but....
!it looks like the typical useless excrement thrown at trek fans who will gladly lap it up as there is nothing else in the fridge to eat.

Like the previous jj rubbish, this certainly will be no different.

What a waste of opportunity these movies are to re-invent the franchise.

Looks fun!

Like the other JJ movies, it should be a great ride biggrin

Hope they never ever bring back the horrible #%&*$# that was TNG, Voyager and Enterprise.

Too bad there weren't enough hardcore Trek fans back in 2001-2002 to save Nemesis and Enterprise from being financial bombs.

Had that been the case there would have never been a JJ Abrams reboot. reading

And this time around, we don't even have Spook to go back in time to save us. frown

One of the problem with these movies so far is that they've removed the Enterprise as one of the main characters. It's JUST a ship, and mainly just a taxi to get them from one ground engagement to another. It's almost useless. And now they've takent it even more out of the mix.
I'll see it, but I doubt I will in the theater.

Nemesis is probably the worst Trek movie ever made. It was not a movie - it was a double-length TNG TV-episode. It almost made Star Trek V look good. I'll get a root canal without any medicine before I ever watch it again. Those hours I will never ever get back frown

To each his own of course but I think Insurrection and First Contact are worse than Nemesis. smile

ST V is saved by the great chemistry between Kirk, McCoy and Spock.

Hey, look a string of predictable one liners, punctuated with explosions.

It will definitely end up in my DVD collection. How often I watch it might be another story. I am a Star Trek nerd and I can live with that! smile

Put me in the 'not Trek' camp. The last two at least had some sort of thinking going on. This one looks like a pure action ride, especially given their choice of director.

That's not "Star Trek" that's "The Fast Star and the Furious Trek"

And BTW how many times does Kirk have to destroy/seriously damage his ship before someone decides to give him a desk job?

A friend of mine says:

Quote:
Sorry to all you Fanboys, but this trailer is total garbage, I see Mad Max meets the Fast and the Furious during a Heavy Metal concert.

I AGREE with him!

Between this and Independence Day: Resurgence I choose Independence Day: Resurgence.

Trek & Furious...

I liked the first JJ Reboot....it probably saved the franchise.

But it has gone to hell again...
