When using this HOTAS setup, do you recommend I download a profile to it, or just set what I want each key to do in the DCS controls settings? If using a profile, do I have to clear the settings in the DCS settings for it so it doesn't get confused with the profile?

Based on what people say about X-55 in DCS forum, unless you really need use the mode switch (not see be games as buttons) avoid Saitek soft and assign the buttons in DCS controls.


What you can do is remove the joystick buttons recognized by DCS in controls, in the column under joystick name, case use profiles.
