Ready for take off. Haven't flown the Su-25 T in a loooong time so I really need to do a bit of a refresher course. Taxiing to runway.

Airborne, weels up, CAVU (ceiling and visibility unlimited). A great day for flying!

Creech AFB below me

Coming up on steerpoint 2, the closed city of Mercury.

Turning towards Pahrump over the Amargosa Valley.

Time for a bit of A/G training. There's a small convoy of trucks South of Parump. Using the Shkval display I locate it after a bit of searching.

Love the new effects for cluster ammunitions! No more stutter/freezes.

Ok, time to head home for some well-deserved vodka bourbon.

yep

Awesome. Can't wait for Steam to get the new version. I hear down near Area 51 the fly some Russian tech.

Hehe... I exchanged the cluster bombs for the submunition dispensers since I wanted to to some high speed low-level attacking and realized the dispensers are far more suited to the task. And yeah, the pics are from flying the same mission twice. Didn't crash though.

wink

ah, ok, sorry.

I have close to 0 experience with russian aircraft. So this submunition dispenser is basically a cluster bomb that remains attached to the aircraft ? And only drops the bomblets ? You've used all 4 of them in one pass ?
Just asking because the explosion seems huge and I was wondering how many were needed to achieve that effect.

Was a bit of overkill, 2 would've been more than enough. But then I was just trying out stuff.

And yeah, the KGMU-2s are simply containers from which the bomblets are released. Each one contains 96 bomblets. There are versions for unarmored and armored targets. They're excellent for low level attacks and especially for targets like road convoys.

I've been using them since 1943 with the IL2.

biggrin

Awsome! Could anyone take some screenshots of Nellis, and the surrounding area? The company I drive for has a terminal in N Vegas, and when I get there, I sometimes stay in a motel that is right at the southern end of the airport-usually lots of fighters landing and taking off!
