They have just been broadcasting it over here too, really funny, season 1 finished last week. I believe there are more seasons of it too ... Yep, 4 seasons, just told the wife and she said "Great, hope they broadcast the rest soon!"

Absolutely brilliant TV. The dedication and respect these guys have for this wonderful plane is there for all to see, must admit had a slight tear in my eye at the end, amazing plane.

The Black Hole (1979)

There were a lot of sci-fi films in the late 70s, even James Bond got in on the act with Moonraker. Most of them, The Black Hole included, are completely forgettable.
The film has some cool scenes, designs and effects but not enough to help claw it's way out of mediocrity.

A LOT of studios were trying to cash in on the big success of Star Wars. Battlestar Galactica was another obvious attempt.

I always thought it had more to do with monetising the moon landing but I think you may be right as most of cash-ins seem to have been made post-1977. smile

A couple of films were made that were in direct response to the Armstrong moon landing but it was nothing major.

Star Wars on the other hand was a major landmark for Hollywood in many ways.

Unsere Mtter, Unsere Vter Our Mothers, Our Fathers (2013) aka Generation War

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1883092/

Definitely better than Band Of Brothers.

The most emotional saddest tear jerking World War II mini-series/film I'd ever seen.

It truly showed how fanatic and crazy the Nazis and Russians were.

5/5

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

I liked it for the most part but some of the action sequences were too over the top.

Watched Tomorrowland on Itunes last night. Must say after years of Disney`s slide down the dark
road of movie making. This movie brings Walt`s dream back to Disney. Found it a very enjoyable
movie to watch.

Ep1 thru 8 of The Man in High Castle. Just starting Ep9

Gripping stuff, and very a imaginatively portrayed world. Highly recommended.

I don't understand Amazon's business model here. I'm sure they will sell it to broadcasters in due course, but to get such a high quality series for free as an Amazon Prime customer seems very generous. There's no ads or other gimmicks, just really great TV.

Episode 10. Woah. We're not in Kansas anymore.

That was awesome. Can't wait for the next season, if there is one.

Also the "Fuhrer's castle" is Werfen, near Salzburg. I went there about 10 years ago, it's a fantastic location, and was the castle in "Where Eagles Dare"
