I think we really need a flight sim that covers the invasion of Grenada or Panama. Those two wars are been grossly underserved. Panama was in Longbow, wasn't it? Been a while...

Singleplayer, with detailed campaign, immersive atmosphere and gameplay, yes absolutely! WWII, no thanks, no interest at all.
However a cold war era sim, now that would be something!

I would also love to see a port of Falcon 4.0 to Vietnam era. THAT would be awesome.

I'd love a sim that would do justice to the 2nd and 3 generation jets, Korea or Vietnam would be excellent but I think the period between those wars may be even better from a fun standpoint. Early supersonic jets that are often challenging to fly, combined with primitive fire control they'd be a lot of fun without being tedious when it comes to switchology. Imagine this scenario but a few years later with F4D Skyrays and MiG-19s instead of Panthers and MiG-15s: http://www.mofak.com/Royce%20Williams-Navy%20Pilot%20MIG%20Killer.htm

As a single-player-only gamer, abso-stinking-lutely. Give me an immersive, accurate experience and I'm thrilled.

I would gladly pay $100 for a Vietnam era flight sim with DCS level flight modelling and avionics complexity combined with a Falcon 4 quality dynamic campaign and current DX 11 graphics. Oh, and both US and North Vietnam must have flyable planes and campaigns.

I would fly RFC/RAF planes and campaigns "Rise of Flight" got somewhat close to what you just described as far as WWI is concerned. I've put over 300 hours into that sim and there are still many flyable planes that I've barely touched.

I don't know. Dynamic campaigns are a must for me, but I still enjoy games with out it, because other factors also play a role. So much that at some point the DC vs SC matter is kind of irrelevant... One thing I miss sooo much is a good AI. I always mention Jane's F-15 here. And it's true, it's one of the things that make that game enjoyable. You told your wingman to attack the oil tanks and they would attack the oil tanks. The knew what to do, what delivery profile to use, and they did it. And after they were done they'all ask you for permission to engage bandits, too. Good FM and systems modeling for the time, good AI, and a static campaign (or "scripted semi-dynamic" as they called it). So yeah, a DC would be a requisite, but AI and FM and systems and "fun factor" would be as important as the campaign system to me. Man, we're a tough crowd.

I would. I wish someone would even take the old Janes sims, EAW, Mig Alley and slap current graphics and compatibility on them and otherwise rerelease as they were. I would buy them in a heartbeat.
