I picked it up...been having some fun so far.



I like how the AI will make mistakes and crash without you being involved. You see the crashes being reported on the ticker on the bottom left of the screen...even if it happens 15 places behind you.

Looks fun. I used to love an MX vs ATV game I had back on the original xbox so this Steam Sale I bought MX vs ATV Reflex. I get a bad graphical glitch that I think has to do with the game's mud and dirt effects that makes it unplayable because its distracting. Unfortunately after searching the forums, others were getting the same issue with my same set up with no known fixes.

So I have to refund it. Loved racing in that and just free roaming and doing stunts.

This one is more race oriented isn't it?

I have that in the 360. The only problem is the AI is so slow you thrash them.

It is more "sim" oriented than arcade. There is no free roam or trick contests...pretty much career, championship, time trial and single race.

I also enjoy the MX vs ATV series and have had most of them...Reflex being my favorite.

The AI can be somewhat on the easy side but the good thing about the PC version is mods. There are mods that make the AI faster and make the time delay after wipeouts longer. Some other mods too located here:

It looks like the developers never released one patch for this game and are working on MXGP 2. They released this gameplay video of the sequel and IMO...they shouldn't have. Might be an early version but it looks terrible and seems slow.

In my opinion MotoGP13 and MXGP (which is also 2013 season) make a really nice combination of "simcade" racing on bikes. MXGP is easier to pick up and go for me, whereas MotoGP needs more track study.
