The pretenders would stand up and one would take control of the center whilst the far-flung governors would turn into warlords.
Yeah, it wouldn't be unified, but you'd have a few dozen Empire-like regional fiefdoms that would act the same way.

So Lando did have an affair with Leia! Ok. I only made a lame joke. But: I hope it is a mistake, because that IMO would be a little too cute.

Ugh. I really hope that's a fake. Yes. Hopefully it was that vendor's fault, either by being simply mistaken or trying to clickbait potential customers.

I went to see "Spectre" Since this thread - this forum - is not at all the right place for that: how did you like Spectre? I saw it yesterday, and I'm not sure yet how I feel about it.

Since this thread - this forum - is not at all the right place for that: how did you like Spectre? I saw it yesterday, and I'm not sure yet how I feel about it. I was a bit disappointed with how over the top the action scenes were. It's like the producers have regressed since Casino Royale. Casino Royale had very realistic and believable action sequences and you could clearly see the influence on realism from the Bourne Identity. Spectre is very much a throwback to Thunderball and You Only Live Twice. Christoph Waltz was very good as always though and I like Ralph Fiennes as M. My biggest problem is with the script.

I agree with you about the script. I wonder if anyone proof-read that thing before greenlighting it? I know, never question Bond-logic, but come on! I felt that they wanted to squeeze two movies into one, with the weird effect that they only told half the story of one movie. There were many unnecessary lenghts in the film, but the plot got rather "tight-lipped" when it should have explained stuff. Like how about a little more meaningful dialogue between Bond and Oberhauser? = Blofeld. Since I've opened this spoiler tag: what happened during the "lobotomy scene"? Did Blofeld push the wrong button? Or did "love conquer all", even lobotomy? IMO Waltz was miscast for this role. He would have been better as another "Number Two". And wearing a suit without wearing socks? Miami-Vice-themed throwback Thursday at SPECTRE HQ? Pro's were the incredible, non-cut long shot in the opening sequence, the scenes between Bond and Q, and some of the action scenes. The train scene was "from Russia with Love" meets "Never say never again", but well choreographed. But again: why? Apparently Blofeld wanted Bond and his girl who could speak French rather well to find him in is lair, so why try to kill them on the way there? If Dave Bautista's character had succeeded, Blofeld would have bought that fancy lobotomy machine for nothing, and as it turned out, he needlessly wasted a perfectly good henchman. Sigh. But nitpicking aside: all in all I was entertained, and had fun watching the movie. I just wish it had been 30 minutes shorter, because the movie theatre seats became uncomfortable after a while.

Disney being Disney... They are seriously considering removing Leia in slave outfit from their intellectual properties, starting by removing all merchandise referring to the iconic metal bikini outfit. http://www.vulture.com/2015/11/disney-to-stop-making-slave-leia-toys.htmlLooking forward to the Special, Special, Very Special, Toddler Friendly Edition of ROTJ.

Is Vergara's accent really that exaggerated or does she just put it on as part of her public persona? I'm pretty sure that was one of the SNL people impersonating her and exaggerating it.

She has a strong accent. Her character on Modern Family has a a very strong accent, which is more what they're impersonating.

Good grief. Though I imagine it has more to do with catering to feminist/general PC sensibilities such the rage in Hollywood at the moment, than making it "child friendly."
