Hi, all.

Quick question: With Home Defense campaigns is the action strictly linked to historical occurrences or will there be a random German presence? I'm interested in an HD defense because it's so different from what I normally do, but I want to see some action and don't want to fly hours of just chasing clouds over England with no enemies around for days or weeks.

Thanks for any input. cheers

Jim, it will involve flying for hours chasing nothing but clouds, (sometimes Zeppelin-shaped clouds). My experience revealed you will only come across enemy airships or bombers on the dates they actually raided. Even then, if you are not in the right place at the right time you will see nary a thing. That being said, if you're in the mood for something different ...

Lou, that is pretty much how Arthur Gould Lee described it. thumbsup

Thanks for the info. That's how my campaigns are already during Bloody April (hard to find them with no tac, labels, etc) on the continent, so I'll just stick to that. But maybe I'll strap on a Gotha again. I don't do time compression so those missions can get long, but at least halfway through I get to blow something up. smile

I don't have the time not to do time compression.

Not using it limits when I can fly, certainly. Usually only get to late at night and I have to be awake enough when I start a sortie not to be in danger of falling asleep before landing.

Jim, the best guidance to the enemies are the black Flak puffs surely, when flying without LABELS.
They are always a definite sign: here they are, come and shoot them down!
They even tell you, in which direction the enemy flies.

I definitely search for flak bursts but don't see them very often. Except around my own plane!
