Yep. It seems like whenever I take my Leopard out, I end up losing money. I've not fully tricked-out my 10.5cm Tiger yet and don't have enough money for a Maus, but I suspect once I got them, I'll be losing even MORE money.
Sometimes, it's better to quit a game. Or if my Leopard gets taken out early, that's a good thing. The better I do with my Leopard, the more money I lose.

The best ammo, whatever that is....
The basic one can't pen the enemies I come across... never really tried the middle one.

Well, I can't really "waste" a shot with the first shell so I always keep the DM12 in the chamber. The only time I have the first shell (DM13) in the chamber is at the start of the game, for use to take down trees or fence posts. As soon as I expect enemies, I fire that off and load up the DM12.
I could have a fight where every shot is a hit, if not a kill. I'd still lose money. The only time I won't is if either I'm on a premium account or I have one of those Lion-boosting things on.

My eyes glazed over reading this profit and loss post. Darn I was just thinking of reinstalling WT with its new graphic lighting update. But this isn't new? HEAT shells isn't a recent addition to the game. They are expensive because they have up to 400mm of penetration on every range. Of course that kind of capability won't come cheap. They aren't even particularly good shells, unless you use them with surgical precision. You aren't supposed to stock up on a full load of HEAT shells and then go to battle. These shells are speciality shells used in particularly situations that demands them, like a pesky Maus. They are far too ineffective for all-purpose use. And they aren't that expensive. Something like 1400SL per shell, so it's not exactly a criminal amount. It just quickly adds up if you decide to take out a full load and start sending most of them downrange.

I have the DM502 (HESH) with 145/125/72 penetration but rarely use it as the stock DM13 (APDS) shell has 282/275/144 pen at 500m and that was useless when I was using it so the DM502 is even worse.

Yeah, premium account makes up for the money lost... even a 20% Lion booster is sufficient.
