I loved playing Tornado over 20 years ago. More than any other sim it made me appreciate ToT big time!

I do like the C-130, and they are featured in Richard Herman's novels The Warbirds and Force Of Eagles that I am reading. There is an airbase evacuation depicted that inspired a new mission called 'Herky Evac'. In this one, A-10s must guard Kolkhi Airbase to prevent the Red armor from catching the Herky Birds on the ground.

My older C-130 mission is Herky Jerk. That got an update that will nullify the Red missile threat. I left the Red air defense site in the mission, eliminated its random location generation and added an F-16 SEAD to clobber the TOR that is in the way. That will leave AAA at defined waypoints for the A-10s to clean up before sending in the Herky Bird to pick up a special operators team. Hope is to make this mission easier and more fun.

I'm torn about the Labels Optional in these missions, vs Labels Off. I get comments from both sides, pretty equally, too.

Both missions are available on Wrecking Crew Projects.

Enjoy!

The problem with labels off is it forces people to play the way one group wants to play, while optional allows people to play whichever way they want.

The only time I can see justifying labels off is in a pure head-to-head PvP mission. However, if the mission is setup so that all players can be on just blue or red vs AI on the other, then it should be optional.

Toxocara has a new mission for his F-86F Bridge campaign, now running on the Hollo Pointe server -- T's F-86F Bridge 1st Battle - Helos.

Toxocara's 2nd mission in his Bridge campaign features U.S. Sabre's against AI MiG-15bis. A good matchup for these jets.
While the MiGs don't have A-A missiles, the Russian air group commander had this to say, "Nashi razvedyvatel'nyye polety yavlyayutsya sovershenno zakonnymi v sootvetstvii s soglasheniyem . Yesli Soyedinennyye Shtaty samolety deystvovali agressivno ili peresech' granitsu , to tam budet posledstviya."

Can you find the MiG-21bis in this picture?

From Toxocara's #4 Battle in his Bridge campaign.

From Toxocara's upcoming 'T's F-86F Bridge' campaign. Six missions in a Blue COOP F-86F with a variety of air-air and -ground.

This is a campaign for F-86F Sabres. Fight your Sabre against Russian Mi-8Ts and MiGs. Go air to ground to destroy Red artillery and infiltrate Senaki airbase, and prevent supplies from reaching Kutaisi.

Hollo Pointe has moved to a new connection. It's running DCS World 1.2 for now, and I'll be installing v1.5 next week to get all the missions updated for the new release.

If you would like to suggest a mission or few to fly on Hollo Pointe, let me know! The list of installed missions is on my WC Projects site. Enjoy!

BeachAV8R's GRAD EX mission is running. The mission is on the CD for the DCS World A-10C article in PC Pilot magazine, Issue 89, www.pcpilot.net.
