Here is a screenshot from the dawn patrol Major Burroughs flew yesterday. Just one of those WOFF moments.
Lou, knowing the intensity of such moments from my own experiences with WOFF, I bet you ended up having made half a ton of screenshots? However - this one is a definite keeper IMHO - beau-ti-ful! Your 4th and 5th Strutter images from the last page laso, Deacon - marvellous!

Okay, you know that: You are peacefully cruising around, thinking of nothing specific... ...when suddenly: BAM! FIRE! ...you turn off Ignition, and see this: ...but I never had a major Engine Failure so far, that actually caused 3 Cylinders to popp off!

You are peacefully cruising around, thinking of nothing specific... "Thinking of nothing specific"...with a face like this? This pilot must have mayhem on his mind. .

Yeah, the pup's speed much be watched. If it's any consolation, you're not the first or last to die that way. RIP Thomes I'm learning a lot of ways to be more cautious!

Not sure I deserve it, but wow, I won the Victoria Cross. Just died with 12 confirmed victories after 15 missions, all EIII's that I shot down in my trusty DH2. (playing full real) All that in a DH-2? You bloody well do deserve it!

Well, Billy Bishop had an ignominious end. After surviving that hair raising last flight in the Strutter, he flipped onto his nose on the first takeoff roll in the Camel. It was the first time I had tried the real world technique of getting the tail skid off the ground as quickly as possible, but just didn't expect the pitch over rate in the Camel. And once I started, there was no stopping it. Enter Charlie Cooper, RNAS. Have gotten three kills so far in the Strutter in about 6 hours. Put in the transfer request a few days ago but it is taking forever! Got jumped by these clowns off Nieuport. Aborted the mission, but took this one down with me. Let my observer get back at him a little after the Hun tried to crease both our craniums! A few missions later, I was flying south over Ypres and witnessed the mother of all artillery barrages! The pics don't do it justice.
