That's just a tad over the top. The watch is 40 years old and every scratch, blemish and flaw is a result of its days in a capsule, hours on the moon and minutes on a raft in the Pacific. Eye roll. Guess I won't be bidding

The astronauts did as much of that as they could once they discovered just how valuable stuff they carried with them was in demand.

Sort of like the President signing his name with a different pen for each letter on legislation so that he can hand them out as rewards.

Reminds me of that scene in "The Right Stuff" where Gus Grissom was potrayed as taking those toy capsules into space.
