I have a friend his family is one of the original families that entered the U.S. through Ellis Island.

As a matter of fact his family's name is carved in the original plaques posted on Ellis Island commemorating all the main immigrant families that went through there during the first few years it was in operation.

My family said the hell with the arduous sea voyages and long journeys as part of the immigration process.

They came to the USA by means of TWA in 1963. But they did have seats in coach.

No pictures but my mother's parents came through Ellis Island in 1913.
