Yeah...problem is you have to be able to login to enter a support ticket. My whole reason for wanting to use the support ticket system is that my login credentials are borked. My ED forum login is fine though.

I know I ask this every time there is an update, but is it possible to transfer all of my control settings from my regular install to this beta or do I have to reprogram my HOTAS and pedals again for every aircraft?

Since the format of the configuration files changes each version, trying to copy old version config to new version is 100% guaranteed to give you bugs. Don't do it.

Until I get my modules squared away...I figured I would take up the SU-25 and test out my performance. In the cockpit is solid 60 with vsync on...exterior view take a hit with the depth of field on. I think it looks better with DOF off anyway plus I get a max 60fps in exterior views.

Pretty happy with what I see so far. I will be happier when I can get my modules working though!

I was having all sorts of issues with installing OB1.5. Turns out update.eagle.ru was not responding (for me) but 185.59.222.17 does. I added that association my hosts file and now I get "Servers are unable to complete your request." Progress!

Ahem, and 185.59.222.25 updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com

I'm finally getting somewhere with the "install WORLD" command line option on the DCS_updater.exe

EDIT2: Got the rest of the modules via command line except Ka-50 which I had to manually copy from the other install and repair as there is no BS2 Upgrade package via command line. Oh and I had to install BS1 again just to install BS2 (the gift that keeps on giving).

It looks very pretty and performance is impressive. Not a lot of structural improvements (combined EXE, ATC changes, etc.) yet or at least that I've seen. Lots of niggly little bugs but hey it's a big version change so that's expected.

For those who have V-sync-not-quite-working issues, or Shadowplay not working issues, keep in mind the game runs in borderless windowed mode for some reason by default. Forcing the "real" full screen (Alt Enter) solves the problem.

Got 1.5 working without a problem. First impressions are very good: performance has improved a lot, the lighting looks great and the improved aircraft rendering at greater distances greatly reduces the frustration in dogfights.

Very, very nice.

So far, great. All my modules are now installed (manually) with no problems.

Runs great, everything to max

Beans - Yes you can copy your controls over. Go to C:\Users\<you>\Saved Games\DCS World\Config - and copy the entire Input folder to the DCS World Open Beta config folder - C:\Users\<you>\Saved Games\DCS World Open Beta\Config

Just tried out the MiG (LNS has released a hotfix, so it works now) against F-5s. You can actually hear the rain drops fall on the canopy! That is nothing short of amazing! This might be quite rough in the edges, but it's great. The graphics have easily been improved by 200%, and performance is through the roof!

I have exactly the same problem....login screen lockup. Only thing I can do is alt-tab between desktop and locked up GUI.

Will download again tomorrow and try again on my other rig.

Storm, try copying your original config across from the 'normal' install to the beta installation.

So, they touted how they were integrating the front end and back end into one 'seamless' program.

I'm not sure I really see much of a difference.

Plus, that loading screen is still a pretty noticeable "seam". I know all games will have loading screens, and that's fine, but I'm curious as to what the real benefit of the merge is considering the loading times don't seem to have really improved. I imagine there were an awful lot of headaches in getting the two merged together, but why?

Sure, the encyclopedia with 3D models is neat, but not exactly something the community was screaming for.

Didn't they say the load-out screen would allow you to view the payload on the model in real time? It's not implemented yet (it's a beta, I know smile ), but was curious if that was a forthcoming feature, or I'm just going crazy. I suppose the two aren't mutually exclusive....

Maybe I'm missing somthing confused

There's a massive difference. Just going from game back to menu takes literally 2 seconds, going from menu to game in less than 10. The separate .exe business before was slow and frustrating.

Hey Guys,
My weekend is off to a bad start. I get this
X "The program cant start because MSVCR12.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"

I have ran it three times doing complete installs.

Thank You.
