The MISC Endeavor concept has been released. Incredibly large, modular ship. Looks kind of cool in the concept art, IMO, but way too much ship for me.
At the moment there are several different modules/pods, with more planned.

Current modules:
  • BioDome
  • Telescope Array
  • Supercollider
  • Service Equipment and Crew Pod
  • General Research Pod
  • General Science Pod
  • Fuel Pod (aka Standard Cargo Pod
  • Medical Bay
  • Landing Bay

Known specifications:
  • LENGTH 200m
  • BEAM 48m
  • HEIGHT 20m
  • NULL-CARGO MASS 1,000,000 Kg
  • CARGO CAPACITY 500 standard cargo units (SCU)
  • MAIN THRUSTERS Front : 2xTBD, Rear : 7xTBD
  • WEAPONS 2xS3 Remote Turrets (Laser Repeater)

I have to say...... its a lovely looking ship. A little taken from alien perhaps. Its got pvp griefing written all over it. Its a good size to be boarded.

But I wonder if it will be sold with LTI. Because as you know LTI will never be sold again...........

Fighterops...

The only TRUE Stealth crowd funded game.

Devs said there was stuff there, but you just couldn't see it.

but but but no one will buy a 900 dollar ship without LTI!?!?!

Its a cool ship and I might shift some assets around and get it but I dont think im paying any more money into the game. That might change once they get their baby PU up and running and we can actually play something other than the dogfight AC.

I hear ya about the 'primed for griefing'. It's visually very appealing to me and the hospital/spawn point, satellite scanning the skies for something and then with a recovery ship in the docking bay to go and get it and a service equipment/crew pod for fixing or breaking down the retrieved item sounds interesting to me. Looking past that, I see two guns, Max crew of 16, 3xs4 sheilds, huge size and a high dollar asset with an unknown ROI at this point. Just too many unknowns for me... how can I crew it, how can I protect it, how much will it cost me before I can make it profitable. To mirror Master's sentiment, I'm pretty much done having to pay for anything new, but have considered shuffling assets around.

That being said, I'm all for Master ponying up and getting one and tossing me the keys so I can work out the mechanics of the Endeavor on his dime.

I've popped in AC from time to time, but I'm really holding out for the Baby PU/SC Alpha/Large World Map in order to try some of the occupations. It runs alright on my machine, but not well enough with enough resolution that I'm itching to play it. That's probably going to change once I do a slight upgrade on my hardware.

With the baby pu on the horizon I have started to consider shifting assets around and dumping all my one man fighter ships and focus my holdings on larger ships that generate income. So I may pick up one of these endeavors but I am going to hold off and wait a week or so for the QandAs and for the newness to wear off before I decide that. The simple fact that it will hold at least 2 cutlasses makes it very appealing as far as a squad ship goes.

This is indeed an interesting addition, but I too am getting worried about a lack of more meat in the pie, so to speak, regarding more depth to Star Citizen. I am considering melting my Gemini, since it's mostly a military transport type and buy the base Endeavor and a few modules, such as landing bay, antennae array and medical facilities. Since most of my fleet is leaning toward forward based mining, privateering and exploring/spying, this may be a better fit. However, there are questions to be answered and manning is one of them. Will I have to always recruit for players to stay aboard this vessel or can AI handle the bulk of the slots needed to conduct research, scanning and piloting?

I too will await some questions from the forums before melting any LTI I currently own. Thanks for posting as I was just starting to feel it's been a few weeks since they've sold some sort of module or artists concept.
