It has nothing to do with ED. Leatherneck could announce those projects tomorrow weather 1.5 shows up or not. I think they dont want announce their projects ala VAEO, and have little or nothing to show for them.

No announcement, shucks. But it's not like it was more than an announcement, like 1.5 that we're not getting when it was said. Really, as long as they're making good speed as they say there's no cause for concern as far as I'm concerned. Sure, it would be fun to get to know what we're getting, but if we're actually still getting it on time I'm fine with it, I'd rather have silence and progress than weekly updates and a guarantee that it wouldn't get released on time.

They have stated multiple times that the plan is to release these products in 2015, iow, they are near completion in software development terms, do you seriously think they can't take screenshots yet, make announcements about what weapons are avail, what missions etc. The end of the year is only 3 months away. Just the prep work for release after going 'gold' takes at least a month with EDs testing and QA cycle.
