I have only had time to play a couple of rounds. Terrorist hunt is pretty fun, great co-op possibilities if people will talk to each other. I am not a big fan of the offensive vs defensive setup as far as characters go, although I have only unlocked one person so far. I will probably end up with this at some point. Maybe not at launch but sometime.

I watched streams of the beta... not impressed, way to fast, more run and gun action then tactical... based on my eyes... hope it can be saved with some tactical like-minded gamers.

I had one round with guys communicating and it was pretty good. But yeah a lot of run and gun guys. The first round I played everyone else died. I think it will be kind of like Battlefield in that if you have guys who communicate and work smart you can have a lot of fun and be successful. If you don't it can be a real mess.

Yeah I only played the co-op terrorist mode, didn't even try the vs stuff, co-op was great fun with SimHQ teammates, and the AI was not all-knowing aimbots like Arma AI, was plausible for the most part.

I enjoyed it, especially if they have a whole bunch of maps it could be good, although I will probably wait until it hits the $30 price point, not worth $60 without SP campaign.

Played it on PC but I guess it all comes out to about the same. I only played the versus part, as co-op has little interest to me. It was quite possibly the most inane thing I've played in a very long time. Tiny maps and short rounds is the topic of the game. Outside of that you have one team that just sits in a corner, camping for the entire match. Other team has to storm in like a bunch of circus clowns, practically blowing up the entire house along the way to get through all the obstacles. Gunplay was poorly done, overall menu design was horrible, loadout setup is an awful implementation and this is hands down the worst "Rainbow Six" game I've played to date.

Glad I can cross that off my to-buy list.

According to Gamestop, it's not due till December 1st. Maybe the delay is a good thing.

Personally, I've got doubts. It seems like the average time for a match is about 3 minutes. I have no patience for that. It's like it's made for people with the attention span of a gnat.

But, I'm hearing good things about the MP in Metal Gear Solid. Supposed to be more slow and tactical. I have the game but haven't tried the MP yet.

Edit:
The MP in MGS looks very cool, based on the YouTube vids I just watched and I'm surprised there isn't more buzz about it. Magnum, I'd think this game would be right up your alley.

I'm going to need to check it out myself soon.
